Traffic Assistant Surveyor (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 31 July 2018
Based on my experience working in this company, I have learned a alot about communicating with clients and ensuring what needs to be done in a limited amount of time. I have developed responsibility skills as each report is organized differently depending on the urgency and scope of the project. The most tedious task I find about this position is process of transferring turning movements count (TMC) templates into the synchro file. I believe that in the near future as software development programs become more available and advanced, they may be able to find a quicker alternative for data interpretation.
An avergae day would be conducting field studies to determine traffic volume, flow, speed, effectiveness of signals. Prepare traffic impact/ parking/ and study reports as well as prepare AUTOTURN drawings for clients while reviewing and applying appropriate guidelines from the Town or City By Law according to where the project is located
