Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada selected this as a representative reviewShift work expected plus overtime. Very competitive wages. Great benefits. Has gym facility for their employees. Awesome bonus program with extra bonus incentives. Opportunity for advancement as well as incentives to further education. Management always get back to you about your concerns and grievances. Good communication and paid time for them.

Fast paced, exhausting good pay
Assembly Line Worker (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 13 May 2022
Hard to balance work life and family life with rotating shifts, long hours, exhausting pace. It's a good place to work if you don't have kids and need a high paying job.

Compagnie qui cherche à évoluer tranquillement. Manque de personnel. Rémunération adéquate.
CUSTOMER SUCCESS (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 12 May 2022

There's better out there
Senior Analyst (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 2 May 2022
Worked in admin for 4years. You get sucked into the mentality of this being a stable job, careful - alot of staff are unhappy but have too much tenure to leave. The culture is very much there to grind you down, take away creativity and force you in a box of standardized work and policies; reinforcing you are a number to the company. Upward career movement is SLOW by design, compensation is mediocre, hours are terrible with lots of overtime, managers often lack basic management or people skills, and I found myself constantly stressed, despite being great at my job. They forced all office workers in during the pandemic...says about all.I left, found a position with the same pay for less hours, better benefits and was promoted within 2years. Grass is greener elsewhere.
Pros
The people. Spend some time talking to the people in production, the office and you'll know there's some truly great people that work here.
Cons
Lots of mandated overtime, high stress, poor management, corporate nightmare of policies and practices.

Production Team Leader (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 10 March 2022
Great place to work for a good paycheck and Great benefits. Shift work wear you down switching back and forth every 2 weeks. Jobs are easy enough and working conditions are safe. Work life balance sucks on afternoon shift.

Stressful toxic workplace
Assembly Line Worker (Current Employee) - Woodstock, ON - 10 March 2022
Long hours and over processed jobs make for an environment where everyone hates their job and as a result they take their negativity out on other team members. Management shows favoritism to people they hang out with after work. Hard work is not rewarded. Who you know and kiss up to determines how well you're treated. The only good thing is the pay and that only applies to team movers that have been there over 10 years. Lower seniority team members are paid far less and are on a long grow in period. Mandatory overtime includes Saturday mornings so you cannot opt out, to enjoy your life.

Jobs at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada
Great if single
Team Member (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 3 March 2022
You work a rotating shift, 9 hrs on days 10hrs on nights, break times are short 2 15min and an unpaid 30 min lunch. The work is gruelling and it's a toxic work environment, all overtime is mandatory usually including a lot of 4hr Saturday shifts, don't develop any health problems, they treat you like a leper.
Pros
Not many
Cons
Long hours, 8 year full rate grow in, on contract for 3+ years, benefits have been dwindling

Good pay, fast paced work.
Production Associate (Current Employee) - Woodstock, ON - 2 March 2022
The 3 year contract period is tough but once you get through that you’re set. A typical factory environment with good pay and benefits. Depending on area placement your experience may differ.
Pros
Pay and benefits, security, opportunities
Cons
3 year contract, some management

Hard work great pay and benefits
General Labourer (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 1 March 2022
If you can stick it out for 8 years it'll probably be the highest paying job you will ever have. but its still just line work. they can make you do overtime and Saturdays up to 48 hours a week. rotating shifts management can be rough depending on the year. but if you dont care about being on your feet and like money dont choose any other work place but here.

Hard, fast, repetitive, tedious, stressful work. Not recommended!!!
Assembly Line Worker (Current Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 14 February 2022
Ridiculous amount of OT!!! How they are legally allowed to force employees to work so many hours is beyond me! I dont mind doing a few hours of OT here and there, extra money is extra money, but 48 hour a weeks for months and months on end is insane! If you live an hour away or more dont expect to have much of a life outside of work. Just remember to carry a picture of your family with you so you dont forget what they look like.
Pros
Most co-workers are pretty cool and pay is good.
Cons
Fast, repetitive, physically demanding line work is incredibly hard on your body, Management sucks and they dont give a rats a** about you, Insane amount of OT, Little to no personal time, Feel unappreciated and frustrated, "popular kids" get to slack off while hard workers get in trouble for every little thing.

They don't need a union because management puts in effort
Production Worker (Former Employee) - Woodstock, ON - 1 February 2022
I worked there for 8 months of a 12 month contract. I lost my job due to no fault of my own, I wasn't able to show up or call in to work for more than a week straight. Previous to that incident, management was a pleasure to work with. The group leaders of Final 2 and The other #2 line are excellent, empathetic, and understanding. If you have struggles, they will guide you. The work is difficult but if you utilize the available resources, the free gym, the kinesiologists, the health centre, work can become fun and easy and flow.
Pros
Amazing pay & benefits Great vacation scheduling Great opportunities for advancement
Cons
Hard labour if you don't learn the Jobs properly

It’s was like going back to high school
Team member/Assembly line worker (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 3 January 2022
This job is stressful. Don’t expect to see your family or be able to get things done. The pay is decent but you can be fired at a moments notice until you’re full time which can take years.

Excellent job security, excellent pay, poor work life balance due to shifts
Team Member (Former Employee) - Woodstock, ON - 28 December 2021
Worked here for 20yrs, good place to work, good pay at full rate 37/hr +, shifts are no good, working weekends no good, but its a factory so is to be expected. Overall had a great career here. I recommend this to anyone young and starting out in their life.
Pros
Lunches, weekend coffee and juice, great pay, lots of opportunity to advance
Cons
Shift work, line work, weekend work, long hrs

Great job security
Assembly Worker (Former Employee) - Cambridge, ON - 18 December 2021
This job is good for money and security. There is no life/ balance if you're on 10 hour shifts. Your body hurts, very robotic. Trust me when I tell you your body will pay for it.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Don't be late and don't go over your 6 sick days
