A typical day to work: you check around 50 clients temperatures and then when you are finished, you have the chance to go do laundry (which is your entire job!). If you don't mind doing laundry, that is the job for you. Around 200 pieces of clinical gowns! Just for you! If you have a bad memory and can't remember the name of your coworkers that easily, don't worry, no one stays there for more than 2 months anyway, so you don't have to! You can relax while doing the laundry, tho, so that is a plus! But the coworkers are nice and it is good exercise, at the end of the day, some guests are very polite too.
This company is very disorganized, the lack of communication is awful. 2 of the front desk gals have been there for 2 months training, 1 was training after 4 days of working there. Was let go after 2 days, no explanation nothing. Front desk the turnover is very high. You will see the position posted often. No support, condescending. Avoid like a plague.
Absolutely worst place to work. Pathetic management and terrible mangers. Everyone is closing stuff down during covid, and they extend their week and hours. You have to do laundry for 8 hours a day. They won’t mention it but that’s your key job description. Will even ask you to clean toilets and personal lunch areas. You will feel your brain cells die little by little the more you work here. But don’t worry, none of the other employees will last longer than 2 months so you will find the motivation to quit yourself. Pay is terrible and stress is way too much. You will never have any “admin duties” and all you have to do is wash and dry 200+ dirty dental gowns. It’s better to be unemployed than work at this ridiculous place. Terrrible managers and worst management. It’s a joke of a job.
(dental assistant- co-op students) typical day at work: I am the one who always help a student to prepare their dental materials when they have a patient in the clinic. I am also helping them to file and organized their patients chart.also every Monday i am in the accounting department to help them in some stuff that they have to do (eg.checking an invoice, collecting and recording students tuition payments.) What I learned: what I learned is i have to be focus on what i am doing , and also to take initiative on the task that my supervisor told me to do. the hardest part of the job: The hardest part of the job is when i have to memorize each and every single dental instrument that the students are using in the clinic the most enjoyable part of the job: the most enjoyable part of the job is i am able to talk to the patients properly and to all individual( students and staff) that are working in the school.
