Rewarding oppurtunity to give back to the community.

A very good company to work for few minor issues with lifting but, very rewarding.Alot of cleaning and maintence around the workplace and a great attitude towards customer service.

Pros

Only few items were free, some desserts such as donuts and bagels and drinks

Cons

Difficult standing long hours and lifting difficult on the back.

Not so fun workplace

It is definitely a good started job but most of the management is unfair and some even in qualified to be working what they do it's very messy and you are forced to deal with rude and not so easy going customers

Pros

None

Cons

Only 2 breaks for an 8 hour shift, overworked, working a 5 hour ? You get no breaks at all

Avoid like the plague!!!!!!

New owner is horrific, they have created an extremely low morale and hostile work environment. Many of the staff that were here over a long period of time are either leaving as soon as they can or have left already. Even the new staff are learning and seeing first hand within a couple of weeks how bad it is here. Customers, have noticed as well. Tim Hortons head office needs to investigate ASAP.

Pros

None

Cons

Extremely toxic work environment. AVOID!

It is fast paced but most people are easy to work qith

Dending on who is your manager and weither you are under staffed everyone works well but they are very competive with each other to get higher ranks. I found it easy to understand how to do things since most of it is a repeat of stuff you alrwady learned but it is harder to get higher possitions and learn new rolls to get training

Pros

One free hot drink and discount for any thing you want

Cons

Sometimes bad management and timming skills for chores

Very, very fast paced environment

I personally can not work at fast paced jobs so unfortunately I didn't have a great job experience with Tim Hortons. The staff were pretty friendly though.

Pros

Free donuts, timbits, muffins and certain drinks. Also discounts on items

Cons

Fast paced environment

Don't work here

Just another fast food company that doesn't care about it's employees. They only care about how fast the customer leaves the drive thru, and not a lot of the order is right or if the customer is happy

Pros

Discounts

Cons

It just sucks

Stressful and terrible management

Tim Hortons does not care for its employees. Anywhere job that is not Tim Hortons is automatically better. The stress that you receive is not worth minimum wage.

Terrible Management

The management was absolutely terrible and constantly picked favorites with employees which created horrible work atmosphere, most of the employees I worked with were very incompetent and the managers wouldn't help with a single thing. As soon as it got busy one of the managers would just hide away in the back office. The customers you deal with at Tim Hortons are some of the worst people you will ever interact with in your entire life. The uniform was awful as well, the material they use for the shirts is just very hot and uncomfortable making work that much worse. They constantly messed with the schedules without giving you notice until the last minute. There are so many more things I could say to describe how bad this job was but in conclusion, never ever work at a Tim Hortons.

Pros

None

Cons

Everything, especially the management

Honestly just a terrible place to work

Management is terrible coworkers are lazy customers are some of the worst people you'll ever have to deal with in your life and they do not care at all about your availability just hands down a terrible place to work terrible management on a frigid horrible place and in a 9 hour shift you only get two 15-minute breaks that's it

Pros

Not one pro it's a terrible place to work

Stressful, fast paced with cooperate breathing down your throat constantly

They will not pay you well, your boss will always be someone who doesn't care about you because if they did it'd be even more stress on them. Supervisors and Managers are constantly pushed and pushed to be faster and do more which causes crew members to get overwhelmed. They are violently understaffed but work load has not changed, the turn-over rate is out of control and the pay is not worth all that. It's a good job for part-time, but anyone making this their full-time job defiantly should choose anything else.

Pros

Most times your co-workers are cool, but depends from store to store

Cons

Everything that you can imagine.

Fast paced stressful job

Good first job for teenagers, you dont want to be there for life though. As soon as you can get another job or if you have any other options for similar jobs (mcdonalds, subway, etc.) take them. Nobody that works at tim hortons likes to work there. You are overworked, and grossly underpaid. Every location has drama and management gossips about all team members and thinks they are better then everybody. There is some good people that work at tim hortons that are fun to be around but the bad outweighs the good. I never want to work there again. Oh yeah, you get discounts on food and drinks while youre working-so thats a plus

Pros

Flexibility, discounts on food, free hot drinks, easy to get a job there

Cons

Low salary, pay for all uniforms and shoes, drama, rude management, hard work, bad teamwork, stressful

Extremely high stress work for minimum wage and almost no tips

If you have no other option, Tim’s will hire you, but don’t expect to be treated like a human being by your customers. The pay you get for the amount of work a you do (and the amount of guff you take) is only worthwhile if there’s no better bet. They will over work you at every chance they get, so if you do take work from them, never do more than the bare minimum. You won’t be compensated for it.

Pros

Its a job

Cons

Bad pay, high stress, low tips

Worst place to work ever.

I worked at Tim Hortons in an other citty for many years and had the best experience. Than I moved and transferred to the Bridgewater location and they have no clue how to treat their employees. They do not have a healthy environment for their employees. They don't treat their employees well, they dont know how to make a schedule.
