One of my favourite jobs.

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
I liked my owner and my store manager. Great co-workers. Face paced job so time went by quick. My store did not have a drive through. I think thats why I liked it. They will make a young person a supervisor if they are strong customer service workers and hard workers. Negatives: They would send you home early when rush hour ends, a lot. Minimum wage. Didnt even get free food while at work. No discount unless you are working.

Pros

Looks great in a resume

Cons

Low pay and hours.

Productive and fun place to work

My work experience at Tim Hortons was really good. I would recommend it to anyone who loves interacting with people and also is thick skinned as sometimes customers can be rude

Loved the team

I worked at a smaller location and absolutely loved the staff I worked with. It’s a fast paced job and lots to learn but your first couple days is going over the training on the computer. Would recommend!

Pros

Employee Discount

Cons

On feet all day

Busy, stressful

Tim Hortons used to be a fun company to work for. They’ve created a negative opinion from consumers by over complicating things. Coffee, donuts, simple sandwiches are all that were needed and made the company greatBut now they want incredible drive through times, designer drinks, and a million different menu options all of which are available in the drive through . Makes zero sense,

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Unrealistic expectations, zero gratitude from owners

Judgemental and inflexible

I started out loving my job and ended up hating it. It had nothing to do with my actual job but the people I worked with. Ultimately had to leave as my availability changed and they were unwilling to accommodate. It really is a shame too as I enjoyed my actual job

Pros

Employee discounts

Cons

Management was awful

Stressful because of management

My experience at Tim Hortons was stressful because they treated their employees like robots. Always on your case looking over shoulder every minute. Was there for a year and a half because needed income. They had a click there and they where treated much better then us.

Pros

None

Cons

Too stressful

It’s an okay job

It depends on the Tim Hortons you work at, I worked at wonderland and south dale timmies and it was okay. The management was pretty snarky though and the staff felt snobbish, there were only a couple of good employees that you could get along with.

Pros

Scheduled you for what shifts you wanted

Cons

Snobby staff and management.

Fun

Honestly the co-workers there were the ones who made it worth while, as of course our regular customers as well. They also trained me on every project possible.

good expereince

It was a great learning experience and allowed me to appreciate the role customer service workers play in our community. I learned how to work in fast pace environments and still maintain high-quality customer service.

Tims Life

Fast Paced environment, with caring franchisees who value and respect your opinion. Unfortunately some mismanagement from parent company often leads to confusion and extra work for front line staff

Poor management, customers, bosses, and bullying

Some people were really great to work with and we became friends. However it is very poorly managed and you get treated very poorly by customers. There was only one or two people in management at the location I worked, who actually knew what they were doing and treated people well. These managers were well-liked and respected, but the general managers (main boss/makes schedule) were horrible and they were always getting fired or quitting. Customers treat you badly. I got bullied from co workers and I was forced to quit because of hours being cut to almost 0. Only upside was good work environment after the bullies quit, and good relationships with co workers. But the GMs were always bad and forced me to quit when I would have stayed otherwise.

Would not recommend

I personally think that working at Tim Hortons is very stressful. It is always busy. Wages for this job should be higher. The supervisor where I was employed was too hard on employees. Horton and Wellington in London Ontario. Shelley Murray. She made it so I wouldn't want to work at another Timmies ever.

Fast-paced

My time at Tim Hortons was great, the people I worked with and the management were amazing people. It is a very fast-paced work environment but it is a fairly easy job to master.

Just like how everyone says it is

Fast pace, dealing with lots of customer complaints, managers are not interested in helping you work with the team. Very stressful environment to work in.
