A Good Start
Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC6 October 2019
A good place to start your career and get your feet wet, but not your forever home. Provides the opportunity to try many things; however, this is also because they run understaffed (so be ready to do 3 jobs for the price of one).

Half Fridays all year round, but are strict about breaks, lunches and work hours. Pay is below market value. benefits are average, no RRSP options, but clothing discount is good.

Overall, do it to start your career, but not a place to grow.

Summary of Thyme Maternity
Associée aux Ventes/3e Clé (Former Employee) –  Montreal, QC2 July 2015
Days went by quickly.
You learn to organize clothes well and how to speak to clients and coworkers. If you tend to be a bit shy or awkward, this job definitely helps you get out of your comfort zone and become more social. The coworkers you work with will be very fun and nice, and you might even make a friend for life. The managers are iffy. Depending on your manager, your Thyme experience might differ greatly. I have had amazing managers at Thyme but I also had managers that spoke badly about me to other coworkers without ever telling me. Normally, it should not affect you, but it is a bit mean.

The hardest part of the job is wall changes. The location of clothes changes on a monthly basis and it can be tiring to fold a stack of clothes, only to hang them up and fold another pile 4 weeks later.

The most enjoyable part of the job is speaking to clients. There is a huge satisfaction from helping a client out. Many customers are newly pregnant and they come into Thyme completely lost. By putting a smile on your face and being as nice as possible, you can really help a woman and really make her pregnancy more enjoyable.
Great break schedule
Low salary for amount of work you have to do
