Not the Greatest City to work for...

Receptionist (Current Employee) - Whitby, ON - 7 May 2020

Mostly hire party time workers so they don’t have to pay full time benefits. They’d would rather have 13 part timers working than paying for full timers. Can’t pick schedule, shift are 3.5-5 hr and shifts vary day to day

Short hours, no full time, no advancement, management sucks, no balance, no discounts, part time vs full time mentality, layoffs, seasonal

Children's Program Coordinator (Current Employee) - Brooklin, ON - 29 December 2019

The town pays all Youth Leaders the same amount, whether they teach preschool (fast-paced, high stress) or run a youth room (lay around playing video games). Also, unfair opportunities for good hours/schedules/locations. New employees are able to walk right into the shifts with more hours, better schedules and better locations - while current employees are left with the unwanted hours/schedules/locations.

Excellent Part time job

Level 1 Attendant (Former Employee) - Whitby, ON - 25 June 2012

I would typically work an 8 hour shift. General help throughout the arena, including customer service.I learned how an arena functioned from the inside. I was able to be apart of maintenance procedures for the ice surface, the Zambonis, and the Olympic size swimming pool.Both Management and staff were striving to provide an enjoyable environment for all patrons.I found the most enjoyable part of my day interacting with the public. Assisting with any issues they may have and customer satisfaction.
