There to do what needs to be done

Indeed featured review

You get the bare minimum with every service. It’s all rushed not the most relaxing experience. Management is not even esthetician. Feels like you could work their without a certificate.

Cons

Little pay

toxic environment

They do not provide security within your job. They hire and fire people quickly, rude upper management, no space to grow or learn—overworked, fewer hours and underappreciated.

Pros

nothing

Cons

not enough hours

Terrible

Pay it terrible we go to school to get paid minimum wage, would never come back everything was so good at first loved coming to work, loved my co workers, go home feeling a little sick one day and the next you get fired… and they don’t tell you why, block you on everything, owner very disorganized and boss is two faced. Get ready to work and then get fired for breathing the next day. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Pros

Co workers

Cons

Management

Don't do it

It's really as bad as everyone says it's not worth it unless you are somehow a magician and can sell products without having any clients. If you don't sell you don't make the front of the list and if you're not at the front of the list you don't get clients and your shifts get cut. If you have no clients and don't sell they don't let you do other services ( because they train you on one are at a time at their convenience and their decision)

Pros

They have money so they do nice events

Cons

You need to sell thousands in products in order to even get clients

Cool atmosphere, horrible job

Fellow Employees were awesome and majority of the clients. But the management was very poorly run. Horrible schedule as they are open 7 days a week, and horrible pay. Can never get time off. The management was the worst part of it.

never again

management and franchise owners don’t care about seniority or what you do to help their company and location advance. They hire managers who know nothing about the industry- who will come from retail in a mall to try and run a salon- and then try to micro manage esthetician’s who have went to school and know how to do their jobs. I would not waste my time even applying here or working here, because eventually they will let you go with no notice.

Pros

nothing

Cons

long hours, horrible pay, micro managed

The worst company to work for since it franchised with the wierst rapport

Once The 10 Spot franchised it looked and felt as though the CEO and the rest if head office stopped caring abd their staff. Training was condescending and just plain uneducated. My career there was ended on such a fowl sour note that was heartbreaking. What started as the best company ive ever worked for ended to be the worst to work for with the worst name in tge industry. Its a shame

Pros

Loved my coworkers

Cons

Everything but the coworkers

Not worth the time to work for them

The worst management, they don’t value they’re seniors esthetician’s, poorly pay, they ask from you a lot, they give nothing in return, gossip, unprofessional management.

Super low pay

Pay minimum wage, but expect you to do advanced services, make everything perfect all the time, clean and maintain all equipment as well as clean the store. Your being paid very low wages to do everything yourself. No help from management or owners.

Cons

Min wage

Not ideal

•Great with training, made it fun and easy. •Not so great with pay considering all the work experience and my work ethic . •Way too fast pace environment with their protocols for my liking. •too much into “their work culture” - (ex: you’re not allowed to use upper case/capital letters on a note in the computer etc. and you have to use their catchy phrases and they have the worst promotions for services . Makes it impossible to build clientelle when guests are coming in just for a one time visit

Pros

Lots of training

Cons

Horrible management

Not a great place to work

At first everything is fine, the interview is great, the people are nice but then you have about a 4 day training for them to see how well you do manicures and pedicures and they don’t train you on anything else. You do that for a couple of months only to find out that you’d have to wait even longer to start waxing. Pay really isn’t great. Lots of drama, management is horrible, it seems like a nice place to work at but it’s not worth it. You barely work only to be sent home after working for 4 hours because they aren’t busy.

Wouldn’t go back even if I was asked to

As they are franchises, they are managed as pleased, in this case very poorly. Yes, they follow protocol and whatnot, but when it comes to cutting hours bc even as a full timer they will do it in order to keep money in their pockets. Some guest coordinators are a joke, they don’t even help the estheticians clean stations or set up trays. This company has sadly become a joke thanks to their inexperienced management.

Light on the hours, heavy on their Culture.

Between 3-6 hour shifts typically make it hard to make enough to pay the rent as just a part timer, and while there is opportunity to pick up shifts from other GC's, those shifts are also typically between 3-6 hours. Management seems great so far, and like they actually care about you as a person, but they are very big on their culture (ex. can't use capital letters in anything written, company wide; use their catch phrases #FeelLikeATen in regular speech).

overworked, underpaid

Most staff is over worked and under paid. Head Office and ownership do not support staff as needed. Turn over is high at every level, making support that much more non existent.

Not the best

Not the best experience ever, if you weren’t cold hearted and confrontational I don’t suggest it. The techs are rude and disrespectful and the upper management doesn’t hold anyone accountable for their actions

Very toxic

All the girls who worked here while i was there were very hypercritical and no matter how much effort you put into your daily tasks they took it as if you were trying to step on their toes. The girls talk behind each others backs and suck you into their drama with each other. The owner is very condescending toward women. The equality level in this job is very poor and frankly disappointing considering how The Ten spot is actually a lovely place to go as a client it is a terrible place to be as an employee!

Horrible.

Great place to work if you want to be let go out of the blue without any warning. They dont even have to make you sign anything. You can be employed for 8 months than let go the next day. They have a super horrible management. All the girls are bullies. most of the staff just talk badly about each other and make rude comments about how other girls looks, even though it's supposed to be a "chill no discrimination workplace." A few of the girls also made fun of another girl with a disability. The best part is they act super fake and nice towards your face the whole time. I'm sure if you've walked in there there is a good chance they've said something bad about you. The new management is also extremely lazy. Just overall disappointing really.
