Honestly, you might as well work any other minimum wage job
Guest Coordinator (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 24 February 2018
When working for a franchise location, approach with caution.
They claim to offer competitive salaries but unless you consider minimum wage to be "competitive", that statement is false. They also claim to reward outstanding guest care... also false. You can crush every sales goal, and guest care feedback survey, and the most you can expect is a pat on the head and a "good job"...although they have no problem laying on the pressure to meet certain targets. Overall negative work environment. Last minute shift cancelations, questionable contracts, and intimidation in response to concern or criticism is to be expected.
In the spirit of generosity, some of the good include awesome colleagues, and they often look for models to train on so it's easy to get a free service done here and there. You also have a 50/50 shot at being assigned to a good manager.
To be honest, I'd recommend working any other minimum wage job. You'd make the same low pay, but save yourself the headache.
