Sales Associate and Cashier in Canada

There are pros and cons.

The bonus they pay is very fair, but they expect you to do a lot of pushing for sales on customers that are just there to buy headphones, so be wary if hard sells aren't your bag. The management and scheduling definitely needed some work, but I think that can vary from store to store. Overall, it was okay.

Just the absolute worst

I worked there when I was 18. I was expected to sell phones or home services to every person that walked in the door. This is not a good business model. We were evaluated based on our metrics and if we were meeting them, but expectations got higher and higher the longer I stayed.

Good Job but care for associates went down

The Source in the beginning was a place I enjoyed going to but slowly it became a placed I started hating due to lack of care from higher ups for the employees and their mental health. Commission pay went down….. a lot of stores closed, the opportunity was there 2 years ago with this company but sadly not anymore

Competitive but fun to work Lots to learn

One gets an exposure to many facets of sales at Source, You get to help customers and learn about consumer electronics and one has to sell phone plans at the same time.

Interview questions

Situational questions. “What would you do if”

Shared on 22 July 2020

Simple lifestyle questions, and sometimes they would give me scenarios with customers and have me identify what should be done next (i.e. if you have an irate customer, or if we didn't have a product a customer was in search of).

Shared on 14 May 2018

Formal structured interview with situational based questions. Be prepared to have specific examples "of a time when you handled a difficult..." etc....
