Great for learning to interact with the public

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
I stood at an agreed upon location, being responsible for a Salvation Army kettle. My responsibility was to be polite and courteous to the public, representing the Army well. As people made donations, I thanked them, and in some cases discussed how they could be eligible for a tax receipt.

I enjoyed being the welcoming committee

-A typical day at work involved meeting and greeting guests -Not a great learning experience -Managers were friendly -Hardest part of the job was dealing with the boredom of long shifts; minimal duties -Most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new people

Great People to work for. I love the hours I get to & I like working extra shifts too. The Store Managers are great too. The Person that I take over from or Relieves me is on time. I will stay if someone doesn't show up.

Will be doing it again this year

It was a great way to meet and greet people and inform them about the company. A typical day is standing for 4 or more hours talking to people. Co-workers were great, even though we were all at different locations with-in the town of Port Colborne. Standing outside in the elements were hard at time but was still fun.
