Reynolds & Reynolds is a company with a great research platform that really prepares you well for the market. It is a company that focuses heavily on preparation and knowing your client well before interacting with them. Management is very co-operative and work well as a team.
Lot of travelling
Reynolds & Reynolds was a terrific company to work for. Ownership has changed since I was there; and both the automotive and computer industries have also evolved with the times. So my experience would be different than those currently there, but overall the “job” itself would be close to what it was, and that was always exciting, fast paced, fun and offered huge learning opportunities! Highly recommend anyone considering R&R to fully explore them and not to hesitate if offered a position. You could certainly find many companies that you would be far worse off than Reynolds! Plus, the experience itself is something you couldn’t easily get elsewhere, and it’s truly invaluable to the right person. All companies have their pros and cons and the grass is never “greener on the other side”; so while there are sure to be those who had negative things to say about them, I’d say the positives far outweigh the negatives at Reynolds. IMHO of course!
If you will be working in Canada, STAY AWAY! Initially, management comes off as very engaged and supportive. When support is truly needed, they turn their backs and lack communication. From Sales Director to Vice President, nobody will respond to requests or return phone calls. Goals are set, if you have troubles meeting quota, they love to put blame on you without reason and have no explanation for doing so, also nothing helpful to contribute. Recruiters/HR are pleasant to deal with, but they make everything seem okay and blindside you without any cause. This has been a terrible experience.
Management, Communication, No Advancement
Was a great place to work but since the take over, departments were dismissed and many employees gone. There is no job security and you were made to feel like you were working for the man and not for the company.
Longevity and teamwork
Ownership and job security.
Visiting dealers from Thunder Bay to Lloydminster Alberta. Selling marketing ideas as well as producing and conducting marketing strategies. Travel was a large part of this career, but wasn't to taxing.
Great support staff

I was a manager that managed 3pepeole,one being in Montreal. My main roll was to manager prdoduct life cycles customer serviceand outside purchasing. The hardes part of my job was communicarinf with my U.S. counterparts as they did not comminicate very well with Canada. This caused communication breakdown with the salesforce and as a result our customer base. The most enjoyable part of my job was the interaction with cusrtomers and fellow employees on a day to day basis.
No salary increase in six years.
