Very negative and dog eat dog. The management for the most part are a bunch of vultures waiting for you to slip up so they can write you up, otherwise the coworkers and customers were great to work with...even the worst customers were still much more better to deal with than the store manager

The culture is all about helping out everybody in every department which is great because working as a team ensures you have a good time. but sometimes when department supervisors are terrible it drags everybody down. this depends largely on people. the emphasis on safety and ensuring your work is safe makes this one of the best retail jobs. they make sure your work is safe which in a big hardware warehouse store like home depot is essential. as well the company wide policy of if something happens or you screw something up immediately tell us so we can fix it makes it very stress free. you dont get in trouble for accidentally messing up a display. stuff happens approach. awesome.
