Its a great place to build skills in the Audio Visual, with lost of room to grow. But in show business you have no say in your schedule. Always busy with little time for rest.

Technical Services Representative / Administrator (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON1 March 2017
Freeman Audio Visual Canada is a large multimedia company. I have learnt a lot here, as there is readily available on-the-job training. The most rewarding part of the job is customer satisfaction.

Technical Services Representative (Former Employee) –  Toronto, Ontario15 February 2017
Great place to learn and to work. You are exposed to training at least twice in a year which helps a great deal. Staff are generally happy with compensations and commissions and the general job security. Salary is on the average and can be reviewed further to help their ratings.

Technical Services Representative (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON8 February 2017
Decent pay, benefits and wages, advancement opportunities, unionized environment so layoffs happen seasonally. Managers are fair and impartial, but layoffs happen seasonally. Also reduced hours on a seasonal basis. Sometimes difficult to make ends meet.
Pros
Interesting technical job
Cons
Layoffs

get to the room find out how it's being setup. then proceed to follow the plan that was provided or create one in my head and execute it. it's always fun and challenging. hardest part is the trouble shooting of things that don't work. but its always a learning experience.

Management could be better. There is no loyalty for long term employees working for Freeman AV. They will terminate the employment in order to save on severance package.

Administrative Assistant (Full-time) (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB5 April 2016
I was an administrative assistant for this company, so i would answer phones and push a lot of paper work. The management in Calgary are not the best, they're not qualified to do what is needed within the branch. The co-workers were the only reason to stay at this job to be honest, they are all great people except the management. The hardest part is having to do the boring work day after day and watch them mistreat the techs, the most important people of the company.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Long hours, Lack of job security.

A Great Place to work at.
TSR (Current Employee) –  Mississauga, ON.23 July 2015
Every work day is different, and evolves very quickly to changes due to the client/customers needs on a typical day.

I am new to the audio visual world, and have learnt so much by so many good people who make this hectic job fun to work at.

The management help aid youself to get the proper training/help you need to make the many events go smoothly.

The hardest part of the job is the constant on the fly changes, or additions made to the events o make the magic happen.

The most enjoyable part for this job are the many people who work here at Freeman Audio Visual. All the many employees I have met have been so helpful in my transition. I was a highway driver used to doing logistical work. With the aid of kind and very understand people I can assist with event setups, and tear downs of equipment.

The Freeman company allow all levels of employees from beginner to experienced, to learn and advance on an equal learning opportunities.
Pros
Excelent Training Provided for new employees, or experianced employess
Cons
Slows down during School summer breaks.
