Company has gone downhill internally
Store Manager I (Former Employee) –  Aurora, IL5 December 2017
No guidance from district management, you are made to feel intimidated if you have questions. Management is cut throat no matter how hard you work. Enormous pressure for sales in the winter when the outlet center is empty, keeps you on eggshells every day.
Your job is constantly threatened, there is no sense of loyalty no matter what achievements and progress you have made
Pros
Pay
Cons
District management, employees are viewed as easily disposable

Management Sucks!
Sales Associate (Former Employee) –  Pennsylvania24 August 2017
Management was absolutely horrible. Struggled getting respect. If you do not wear new DKNY clothing, they will force you to buy new expensive clothing when you do not have the money. Meeting sales goals was nearly impossible due to not being busy and clothing being too expensive. Not recommended for someone who is raising a family or going to school. You'll be putting hundreds of dollars into clothing there.
Pros
Pretty clothing
Cons
Management, loss of money, and meeting sales goals.

Can be very fast paced at times.
Employees are friendly. Environment can be a place of learning depending on the department worked.
There can be more emphasis put on developing employees

Its a Mental institution
Stylist /Customer Consultant (Former Employee) –  New York, NY13 February 2016
Working there is like working in a Mental institution or a Hospital or a senior home , you have to put up with Mentally sick coworkers , who are Greedy and crazy and have no respect for others and very manipulative and liars , Managers are useless , they cant solve any problems , they ask you to come to them first before going to HR to complain because they want to contain the problem before it reaches the head office and they would be in bad position , and what they do is the shove the problem under the carpet and thats it ! they dont have the ability to solve problems or control the staff , and some staff members have power over them .
it doesnt matter if you are the best in customer service and provide the highest level of service ,it doesnt matter if you are educated and know The fashion and its trend ,it doesnt matter if you have the best Styling talents , all that doesnt matter , what matters is your sales number at the end of the month !
working there is no different from working in Kmart or Target .
the Working Atmosphere is so Toxic and Negative !
Pros
you get free wardrobe every season and good medical insurance
Cons
the hourly pay is low and the commission is low too

The company has a very corporate structure. Works like a big brand and the environment you get totally depends on the people you work with. The HR team is very active and approachable for any issues,

Working at Donna Karan you have a great opportunity to grow. You learn a lot and the overall the comp is so big that there is always room to move ahead. The discounts and benefits are pretty good as well.
Pros
The best part was summer Fridays going home early on Fridays
Cons
Retail can get hectic, large volume of paperwork, late night/weekend work

Store Manager
Store Manager (Former Employee) –  California21 August 2013
Great company and amazing upper level management. I enjoyed working here at the beginning. As time progressed work/ life balance became not the importance to upper management. The expectations became unrealistic and more tasks or projects were given to managers with little or no extra hours provided, therefore managers having to accomplish them after hours.Favoritism was also apparent and not all managers/ employees are created equal.
Pros
Upper Management, Advancement, Clothing discount
Cons
no work/life balance
