Retail Sales Manager in Coquitlam, BC

fun place to work
a lot of stress on management for meeting deadlines and budgets, they ask to sell a lot of services for the amount of work and effort you put, you don't get compensated well for that especially if you are in management.

High turnover rate for a reason!!
Adversarial relationship between front and back of store, including management. extermely toxic work environment! low pay and even lower job security. theres a reason they cant hold onto people, they ask too much for too little pay! steer clear

how horrible it is to work there
Managers are useless , everyone has a horrible work attitude and is always on edge , get horrible pay for the most backbreaking work , long story short since I quit all the managers of the delivery dept have quit due to the place going down hill

Franchise is wildly different than corporate
I worked at a franchise location, so standards and practices can be wildly different. While working franchise I did not have access to things like the corporate benefits package, nor were we very supported by the network of services corporate had (on-location technicians, delivery drivers, etc) I felt like not being corporate allowed for a closer-knit team and with a store manager who went above and beyond to accommodate and advocate for his employees. A really lovely environment, but again I stress that as we were franchise this may not be the experience for many locations.
Customer Service Representative in Sarnia, ON

Stressful fast paced job
The customer service job is fast paced, can be rewarding when you find that perfect solution for the customer. Salespeople over-promise, and you get to be the bad guy, though I feel this is the case with most delivery places. Great in-between job to hone your skills in customer service as you will have to run the gamut of all kinds of customers.
