Had a overall decent experience
Server (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON2 November 2019
Perks of the job included:
- Complimentary standard staff meals once a shift
- Opportunity to work in different roles ie busboy, casual dining server, fine dining server
- Met some great co-workers who would help out when needed
- Given flexible work hours after working for a while
- Complimentary Bike Share pass

Aspects of the job that could be improved:
- Due to the payment system in place, servers receive relatively few tips. Can expect to be tipped once every few shifts during peak season.
- There were times when the place would be understaffed. So this job requires you to be able to work in a busy environment

Toxic work culture and terrible work experience
Food and Beverage Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON7 July 2019
Let me begin and tell you that this place is a complete gong show. Nobody wants to work here., because the management is lazy and hates training people. Staff leave here all the time. The management is all talk and no action. They have cockroaches all over the builiding and in the lockers. The members are complete psychos and will write all these crazy e-mails to management to get you fired. People throw each other under the bus all the time here. They can only find temporary agency staff to work here, because regular folk run away from this sinking ship like the plague. This place will not help you in the hospitality industry, it will only bring you down and make you misrable.
Pros
nice view of the lake
Cons
terrible staff food that looks like prison food, terrible management, overhyped benefits.

Do not apply to work here!
Banquets (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON3 July 2019
Worse place to work, management is unprofessional and rude. They are only nice when it is convenient for them. They under pay you and are always under staffed; frankly they care about their egos more than taking care of their employees. Not recommend this place at all.

Worst place ever!
Dining room server/Bar server (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON28 February 2019
Terrible management. Employees always under paid and the club is always under staffed. Junior supervisor for casual dining is very disrespectful and he has a foul mouth. The f/b manager is a piece a work, he talks a lot but has done nothing to improve to work life for employees. The treatment of servers is just terrible. He encourages employees to make suggestions on how to make work better, however, anyone that takes him up on that offer usually gets the boot. Long standing hours(10am-10/11pm) but only 1 break. Management does not care about employees thus there is high turn over. Every pay cheque hours are missing... tips are paid out 1-2 months after.
Pros
Paycheque
Cons
Long hours, management, little to no breaks

All in all wasn’t that bad but made me a sub-contractor even when they controlled my schedule, uniform, gave me a company email and business cards so they would not have to pay out the benefits
Pros
Pay was ok and some managers are great
Cons

They won’t treat you bad if you are a hard worker
Host and Server (Current Employee) –  Etobicoke, ON31 October 2018
Generally speaking, it is fine working in the club. 99% of the members are really nice and well behaved. The managers and supervisors will pay extra attention and treat you kindly if they see you as a hard worker. But honestly, for the long run, I’m not really suggesting you to work here. The club pay their employees low therefore, most of the people who are working here are not the idea people you want to deal with. Most of them are unbelievably lazy.
However, since their application process is easy, working here can help you gain experience as well as helps your resume in the future if you want to apply for another private club that pay higher.
Pros
Free food, good bosses
Cons
Low payment, lazy co-workers, unfixed schedule

Unprofessional interview process
Event Staff (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON26 October 2018
Pretentious. They seem to think the Club is the only establishment in Toronto that organizes high-volume events. Below industry pay. They wanted to offer you a $32000 salary to do two jobs. Interview personnel were in knowledgeable and full of themselves, as though they’re the only important people that does events or the only private club in Toronto. Far from it!

If you respect yourself, you would never work here....
Server (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON16 October 2018
they are very unorganized and understaffed. Also here they over-work with no incentive, or courtesy to ask if you have taken a break or when you end time is. Lack of personal respect as an individual or employee. Health Code violations through the roof. STRONG RECOMMENDATION: KEEP AWAY
Pros
nothing
Cons
No Meals, Unclean and unkeeped

Busboy (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON1 May 2018
Ultimately unfulfilling work. Little to no care for the time or wellbeing of grunt workers. I had absolutely no fun working there. The only benefits were the scraps of food they let me take home.
