Great management!
Server (Former Employee) - 837 W Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V6C 1B6 - 25 August 2022
The terminal city club is a great place to work at, they make sure you feel welcome and comfortable. I can only speak for The Grill Restaurant (my section) and the management team is absolutely wonderful! The only down side is that the tipping system could be a bit more transparent since I worked as a server and it is important to show the details about tips.
Pros
Great Management, Welcoming Environment
Cons
Lack of transparency about tips

Insights into Terminal City Club
What people like
- Fair pay for job
- Time and location flexibility
- General feeling of work happiness
Department managers are too bad
shift engineer (Former Employee) - maintenance department - 6 October 2020
Although the work environment is good and provides lunch, the department managers are too bad. They didn't support you and already blamed you. Although they are also color people, they see people with color glasses. They are very temperament and lazy.
Pros
free lunch
Cons
bad department managers

More good then bad
Banquet and Cuvee Bartender, Lions Pub Bartender (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 31 October 2019
All in all an enjoyable place to work with a few minor flaws that most workplaces have, management can be very enjoyable or very fickle at times, the overall culture of the place is a somewhat enjoyable as it does feel that you are valued by not only the workplace but also the guests.

Literally nothing to learn as leadership sucks
Staff (Current Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 18 September 2019
Nothing to learn and waste of time as it is empty from inside. Staff is good however leadership lacks integrity and poor decision making is the root cause of unsuccessful leadership

Co-workers were helpful and welcoming.
Apprentice (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 25 May 2019
I only did my apprenticeship here which was a month long. In that time, I was given valuable experience on every station. We were also given significant leeway to experiment with new ingredients and recipes.

LEAD BANQUET SERVER (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 17 September 2018
One of the perks was that we were able to work independently as management trusted the staff to provide excellent service. My coworkers were supportive and hardworking.

Healthy environment
Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 13 April 2018
Very smart healthy place to work, comfortable positive environment. Pay is ok not great not terrible, good benefits. Friendly place. Very long term employees so advancement can be tricky but speaks about the company and working environment. You are working around very wealthy people and it doesn't feel uptight or like anyone is better then another.
Pros
Staff meals, events, environment, benefits
Cons
Advancement

Way better then the arbutus club
Your treated like a human being here. Way better then the arbutus club. This place is a healthy environment. No work bullies.
If your thinking about applying at the arbutus club, don't do it. This place has way better management, and there's no one muscling each other.
Pros
Parking, staff meals, pay
Cons
Long hours but its a healthy enviroment

Good job, good money, good benefits
Banquet Server (Current Employee) - Vancouver, BC - 28 March 2013
A decent job for a decent amount of pay. If you work there for over a year and can manage to work over 20 hrs a week you get a good benefit package. Upper management seems fine until you need to address a problem, then not impressive. Values and subsequent culture could use a makeover. Overall, average - good experience.
Pros
1 staff meal per day as a taxable benefit
Cons
meals are generally not balanced or healthy
