Poisonous work environment
Help Desk (Current Employee) –  Montréal, QC7 February 2019
Bad environment, poor values, bad management, micro managing, extremely limited scheduling options, working weekends is mandatory, many attempts to give comp packages to leave job, feelings of dead-end job, tools given are not good enough, large possibility of outsourcing to South America.
Pros
Competitive salary
Cons
bad environment, poor values, bad management

Depends if you like sales to start your Career
National Help Desk Team / Edmonton (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB8 August 2018
The people are amazing, but the management will run you haggard. Typical call center work with metrics and personal goals. Your co-workers will be pretty great to hang out with, but its hard to connect when you have some pretty high standards over your head. The hardest part would be to meet all your metrics as they are blanketed as if everyone should get the ideal call, but sadly they don't leave much room for "empathy" calls.
Pros
work inside, learn about computers and how to sell.
Cons
Unreal metrics and micro-managment

Low work/life balance
Client Care Help Desk (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON19 April 2018
Great place to work if you don't have a family. When you start, you will work almost all weekends and late shifts. Tenured agents prefer to not trade shifts as they have 'earned' the right to have Monday to Friday with early starts as they have been there longer.

the most intresting and enjoyable thing about the job is the reward for hardwork. Telus doesnt overlook ur hardword.theres always a reward for excellent statistics.
