This company provides good benefits to crew as a seaman working onboard a ship.
Job in ship is very unpredictable and i always have a positive mindset to always have a good outcome in terms of working practice and in life as well.
employees promote a productive and fun environment which is conducive to the working environment which promotes high out put from employees and increase company profitability and customer satisfaction.
Had an excellent working environment. Most of the days started and ended with Routine management tasks except when the day got rather busy if some emergency situation comes up on board a vessel.
Learned higher management skills and team work. Most of the co-workers had been very pleasant and easy to handle except a few (like any walk of life).
Hardest part of the job was resolving a critical situation on board a vessel at sea, sitting in the office miles away but at the end the pleasant feelings that you get when all is resolved makes the day.
Getting together with other Team mates to resolve a issue / problem on board the vessel and the short break after the day at work is over.
I love to learn new challenges in technology.
very friendly co-workers, very proactive and prioritize safety .
hardest part is when you are short on spares and inventory.
working together and learning new things from other is best part.
interesting &innovative, helps to develop new skills. high end technology.
A day starts with detailing the team about the task in hand and dividing and distributing task. Learnt a lot of management skills and engineering practices and especially other cultures and peoples way of understanding problems. There's a lot hierarchy and its very difficult to reach top management. Though the system seems transparent but its highly opaque. It has the best and the worst people in the world working for them and its because of the best that the company still strives. Many of the higher officials and longly employed do not follow company regulations but force others to follow it. Even though you might be the best but still you have to play along On Board politics to carve ones way. This I believe is the hardest pat in the job. You get to know a lot of people a lot of cultures and there's a lot of travel involved.
free travel and stays overseas
no scope for individual development unless one moves to main stream.
