Great work culture
Receptionist (Former Employee) - Markham, ON - 14 August 2023
The company itself is very accommodating, friendly and you feel the sense of family but in a corporate environment. As a receptionist I was able to build relationships with everyone.

Strategic Account Manager (Current Employee) - Ontario - 5 July 2023
Good place to start your career, but good choice to move on when you can. A lot of people are either looking for new jobs, or considering leaving. Low base salary, which they've acknowledged but decided to keep status quo to "incentivize" the workforce to hit their metrics and achieve their bonus. Very poor management at all levels - they move people into management positions with little to no training. There is very low morale across the organization. Poor communication across the board - hard to do your job properly when you need to collaborate with others, but their objectives and goals don't seem to align with yours and management does not hold their teams accountable. Strong politics, which either leads to people being blacklisted and negatively impacting their upward mobility due to being disliked, or on the flip side keeping people around when they should really be let go and allowing them to drag their teams down.
Pros
company vehicle with gas card and insurance paid, good place to start career, good product
Cons
poor management, low morale, poor communication, politics

Save yourself, do not apply
Field Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 21 June 2023
This company will break your self-confidence. It says Sales job but there is nothing to do with sales. You work inside the home depot, stocking empty shelves and playing with lots of dirt and allergies on the daily basis. District supervisor will never help you / receive a call when you need him. Training? Only 3 days. If you are new to power tools then good luck. They treat you so bad and can terminate you without cause.
Pros
Company Truck that you gotta maintain
Cons
Labour work, worst management, bad job duties, 0 job security and advancements

Relaxed work environment, easy to hit quota
Territory Representative (Current Employee) - Ontario - 27 January 2023
Salary is very low, bonus rather than commission structure. Easy to hit quota, good benefits package (truck, Iphone, free gas, etc) Was a good company for advancement until they recently changed their policy to allow for "preferred candidates" to get the job before it is even posted internally or externally.
Pros
easy to hit quota, good benefits
Cons
Low pay, advancement opportunity hanging in the balance

Great Culture
Territory Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Montreal, QC - 22 November 2022
I started with the business as a Field Sales Representative. the environment was always positive and I worked hard to receive the two internal promotions I received afterwards. it's rare to find a company like this that gives you opportunities to grow. Always had/have good supervisors and management guiding me. The entry level roles are in place for you to get comfortable with the product knowledge and learn/enhance many other skills as well. The internal training is not offered by many companies so it's nice to see TTI reinvests in their employees. As a female maybe I dealt with very few awkward customers but everyone internally never made me feel any different.

Company
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Vaughan, ON - 16 August 2022
It’s not a bad place to work it just get extremely repetitive. Management is all about numbers and doesn’t seem to care much about the people at the bottom.

It’s not where you want to be long term at all
Support (Former Employee) - Markham, ON - 12 June 2022
Don’t even bother with this place. You’re better off finding an opportunity elsewhere where you won’t feel like everyday is the worst day of your life. Awful head of HR, structure is a joke, incentives are not anything unique

Great place to start your career
Account Manager (Current Employee) - Markham, ON - 5 May 2022
Company is growing very quickly, so lots of upward mobility. This is a pro and a con, as people are moving jobs every 3 months to 1 year. This makes it challenging for leadership to keep consistency within their teams and to stay on track with customer relationships. Great opportunity to develop strong sales/marketing experience, however the ability to learn and grow does slow down after your first few roles. As a woman, the company culture is best described as a boys club. Virtually all leadership and executive roles (outside of HR) are filled by men.
Pros
upward mobility
Cons
low base pay boys club

Poor Management
Field Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 19 April 2022
Very closed off environment. Co workers stick to within themselves and if they don’t like you they write you off regardless if you’re good or not. Manager claims they are there to help when they really aren’t.

If you are thinking of taking this co-op placement: don't
Event Marketing Specialist (Former Employee) - Ontario - 4 January 2022
The management of co-op students is incredibly dysfunctional and generally non-existent. If you are looking for a placement that provides marketing or administrative experience I would not recommend working for this company because all the experience you will be getting is general retail. There is no mentorship, guidance, or even team work involved, just selling power tools and dealing with misogynistic customers.
Pros
Plan out your day how you want to, Home Depot employees are cool

Good place to start in sales out of university
Job Site Manager (Former Employee) - Ontario - 24 November 2021
Good place to start in sales right after completing university. Good training programs to develop a consultative sales process. That being said, they have a revolving door of employees. There is no gratitude with employees who help build the foundation to grow the company to what it is. The regularly fire people in November (just before the Christmas season) in order to save on the bottom line. Tenured employees are easily discarded in an attempt to backfill the position with someone fresh out of school in an attempt to keep save on payroll. I would suggest joining TTi to help start your sales career, but not as something to consider for the long term.
Pros
Great initial training and onboarding
Cons
Employees are easily discarded. Toxic work environment. Underpaid

If you love a great toxic customer service environment in the Milwaukee department!? THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!
Lowest position in the corporation (Former Employee) - Markham, ON - 8 November 2021
1. Miserable employees/co-workers: Some of the employees in this department are DYING for the throne. So, the best way for them to feel entitled is to boss you around and talk negatively about your performance amongst their pairs and management just so they can LOOK good. They don’t just boss anyone around they boss the newbies around, train them and then judge/ discuss the newbies intelligence with other. But keep in mind they are just as BAD in their own special way. These are individuals that are very miserable in their personal life and work is the only excitement they receive in their lives. If you think there is only one manager, you are wrong. There is about 2 or 3 managing the department in their own way as well. 2. Rapid employee turn over: This simply means poor leadership and low employee engagement or unrealistic expectations. This company will replace you in seconds, promote and then fire you 3 months later after the probation period unless you’re a favorite. They have several 6- or 9-months contract position with full time employment opportunity but that’s only if they feel like it or only if its within their budget otherwise your contract will get renewed over and over. The contract renewal can go up to 2 years and this does not include benefits! Job security will only last so long.. don’t get too comfortable. 3. Unfair department practices/ Unfair policies: If you are in the customer service or customer experience department you WILL be treated as such. This is with pay, activities, engagement, perks, conferences etc. You will see how non-important you are -

There is a dark side.
Great work culture, but terrible pay. This company likes to shuffle people around just to fire them in the near future. I've noticed that they promote people just to replace the old positions with a contract position to save money. They fire great people to replace them with folks for less pay to save money. The tools aren't as good as they seem, Customers complain about them daily. Very defective tools.. wouldn't recommend. Raises are not the best. Work, life, balance does NOT exist in all departments, which is unfair. Management and professionalism is terrible especially in the Customer service department. Many co-workers are fake and manipulative like in any other job. Managers do not acknowledge their employees in the morning face to face but want all the work done. There is way more work to be done than what is listed on the job description, you will end up doing work equivalent to 2 or 3 people without a proper pay. There's a lot of favoritism with employees who have been with the company for years compared to the new employees, everyone should be treated equality and this is not the case in the Milwaukee department. There is room for growth within the company if you are a favorite or related to an employee within the company. If you have personal issues that may effect your working performance, it will not be taken seriously by management unless you are appreciated and a well respected employee, otherwise your problems do not matter. There is a lack of leadership and encouragement for difficult times especially during the pandemic. Forget about your mental health, this -
Pros
free food
Cons
Over-worked for little pay

Great Culture & Co-Workers, Remuneration was horrible.
Market Manager (Former Employee) - Fort McMurray, AB - 16 October 2021
Worked with TTI for approximately 1 year and 4 months. Due to the position being new in my region there was a lack of advancement opportunities and the pay was not enough to survive on. If you are looking to make money this isn’t your place but if you are looking for a good culture and enjoy working from home and in the field this could be for you.
Pros
Culture, Co-Workers, Company Vehicle
Cons
Pay, Management, Advancement

Unfocused leadership
Returns Coordinator (Former Employee) - Vaughan, ON - 20 July 2021
Leadership was indiffetent and inconsistent. Direct supervision was lazy and lacking integrity. Processes not well documented and not adhered too. Theft was rampant.
Pros
Consistent quitting time.
Cons
Blind eye turned by floor supervisors in regards to productivity and theft.

Good luck on promotion
Field Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Hamilton, ON - 5 February 2021
Start from the bottom usually which means you are slinging boxes at the Home Depot for 40,000 a year. The truck is a bonus but the job is trash. They dangle a promotion in front of your face to keep you there doing the dirty work. Culture is good but job stinks
Pros
Truck
Cons
District sales managers are trash

Incredible culture and opportunity!
JSS Market Manager (Current Employee) - Windsor, ON - 4 January 2021
The culture here at TTi is incredible! Positivity and teamwork is preached across all levels in the company. There is plenty of opportunity for career advancement and a number of different routes you can take. For most new hires they do require you start in a Field Sales Role—-after that it’s up to you to decide where you’d like to move up in the company. Management is very supportive and genuinely want you to succeed and move up. This has been a life changing opportunity for myself, and would recommend ANYONE to apply and be apart of this growing and industry leading company.
Pros
Company Vehicle, Career Advancement, Corporate Culture
Cons
None
