Great Place, Great culture

A great culture that treats you fairly and as a person not a number. Hard work goes noticed and will get you far. Amazing management, and relaxed yet competitive growth. The company is full of constant learning and growth opportunities.

Great Culture

I started with the business as a Field Sales Representative. the environment was always positive and I worked hard to receive the two internal promotions I received afterwards. it's rare to find a company like this that gives you opportunities to grow. Always had/have good supervisors and management guiding me. The entry level roles are in place for you to get comfortable with the product knowledge and learn/enhance many other skills as well. The internal training is not offered by many companies so it's nice to see TTI reinvests in their employees. As a female maybe I dealt with very few awkward customers but everyone internally never made me feel any different.

It’s not a bad place to work it just get extremely repetitive. Management is all about numbers and doesn’t seem to care much about the people at the bottom.

It’s not where you want to be long term at all

Don’t even bother with this place. You’re better off finding an opportunity elsewhere where you won’t feel like everyday is the worst day of your life. Awful head of HR, structure is a joke, incentives are not anything unique

Great place to start your career

Company is growing very quickly, so lots of upward mobility. This is a pro and a con, as people are moving jobs every 3 months to 1 year. This makes it challenging for leadership to keep consistency within their teams and to stay on track with customer relationships.Great opportunity to develop strong sales/marketing experience, however the ability to learn and grow does slow down after your first few roles. As a woman, the company culture is best described as a boys club. Virtually all leadership and executive roles (outside of HR) are filled by men.

Poor Management

Very closed off environment. Co workers stick to within themselves and if they don’t like you they write you off regardless if you’re good or not. Manager claims they are there to help when they really aren’t.

Excellent place to build your career. Excellent culture, wonderful people and lots of opportunities.

This company recognizes great people doing great work. They give you all the support, training and tools you need to be your best. Lots of growth which equals lots of opportunities to get promoted and build your career. Bonuses, perks and recognition. The grass is very green at TTi Canada Inc. Enjoy!!!

If you are thinking of taking this co-op placement: don't

The management of co-op students is incredibly dysfunctional and generally non-existent. If you are looking for a placement that provides marketing or administrative experience I would not recommend working for this company because all the experience you will be getting is general retail. There is no mentorship, guidance, or even team work involved, just selling power tools and dealing with misogynistic customers.

Good place to start in sales out of university

Good place to start in sales right after completing university. Good training programs to develop a consultative sales process. That being said, they have a revolving door of employees. There is no gratitude with employees who help build the foundation to grow the company to what it is. The regularly fire people in November (just before the Christmas season) in order to save on the bottom line. Tenured employees are easily discarded in an attempt to backfill the position with someone fresh out of school in an attempt to keep save on payroll. I would suggest joining TTi to help start your sales career, but not as something to consider for the long term.

Great initial training and onboarding

Employees are easily discarded. Toxic work environment. Underpaid

If you love a great toxic customer service environment in the Milwaukee department!? THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

1. Miserable employees/co-workers: Some of the employees in this department are DYING for the throne. So, the best way for them to feel entitled is to boss you around and talk negatively about your performance amongst their pairs and management just so they can LOOK good. They don’t just boss anyone around they boss the newbies around, train them and then judge/ discuss the newbies intelligence with other. But keep in mind they are just as BAD in their own special way. These are individuals that are very miserable in their personal life and work is the only excitement they receive in their lives. If you think there is only one manager, you are wrong. There is about 2 or 3 managing the department in their own way as well.2. Rapid employee turn over: This simply means poor leadership and low employee engagement or unrealistic expectations. This company will replace you in seconds, promote and then fire you 3 months later after the probation period unless you’re a favorite. They have several 6- or 9-months contract position with full time employment opportunity but that’s only if they feel like it or only if its within their budget otherwise your contract will get renewed over and over. The contract renewal can go up to 2 years and this does not include benefits! Job security will only last so long.. don’t get too comfortable.3. Unfair department practices/ Unfair policies: If you are in the customer service or customer experience department you WILL be treated as such. This is with pay, activities, engagement, perks, conferences etc. You will see how non-important you are -

There is a dark side.

Great work culture, but terrible pay. This company likes to shuffle people around just to fire them in the near future. I've noticed that they promote people just to replace the old positions with a contract position to save money. They fire great people to replace them with folks for less pay to save money. The tools aren't as good as they seem, Customers complain about them daily. Very defective tools.. wouldn't recommend. Raises are not the best. Work, life, balance does NOT exist in all departments, which is unfair. Management and professionalism is terrible especially in the Customer service department. Many co-workers are fake and manipulative like in any other job. Managers do not acknowledge their employees in the morning face to face but want all the work done. There is way more work to be done than what is listed on the job description, you will end up doing work equivalent to 2 or 3 people without a proper pay. There's a lot of favoritism with employees who have been with the company for years compared to the new employees, everyone should be treated equality and this is not the case in the Milwaukee department. There is room for growth within the company if you are a favorite or related to an employee within the company. If you have personal issues that may effect your working performance, it will not be taken seriously by management unless you are appreciated and a well respected employee, otherwise your problems do not matter. There is a lack of leadership and encouragement for difficult times especially during the pandemic. Forget about your mental health, this -

Over-worked for little pay

Great Culture & Co-Workers, Remuneration was horrible.

Worked with TTI for approximately 1 year and 4 months. Due to the position being new in my region there was a lack of advancement opportunities and the pay was not enough to survive on. If you are looking to make money this isn’t your place but if you are looking for a good culture and enjoy working from home and in the field this could be for you.

Unfocused leadership

Leadership was indiffetent and inconsistent. Direct supervision was lazy and lacking integrity. Processes not well documented and not adhered too. Theft was rampant.

Consistent quitting time.

Blind eye turned by floor supervisors in regards to productivity and theft.

Good luck on promotion

Start from the bottom usually which means you are slinging boxes at the Home Depot for 40,000 a year. The truck is a bonus but the job is trash. They dangle a promotion in front of your face to keep you there doing the dirty work. Culture is good but job stinks

District sales managers are trash

Incredible culture and opportunity!

The culture here at TTi is incredible! Positivity and teamwork is preached across all levels in the company. There is plenty of opportunity for career advancement and a number of different routes you can take. For most new hires they do require you start in a Field Sales Role—-after that it’s up to you to decide where you’d like to move up in the company. Management is very supportive and genuinely want you to succeed and move up. This has been a life changing opportunity for myself, and would recommend ANYONE to apply and be apart of this growing and industry leading company.

Productive and excellent environment to work in

Productive culture. Training of their people on the products they service and sell are top notch. Management is pro active and easy to approach. My time there was short lived due to another opportunity but I would definitely return to work there in a heart beat.

Flexible, Social, and Powerful Business Environment

TTi Canada is a great place to work at if you want to represent some of the most powerful and well known brands in the home improvement and construction industry. Opportunities for advancement are enormous. Sales roles are flexible and self-paced but with lofty yet attainable sales targets. Young, social, male dominated environment. Salary is so-so but bonuses and benefits are quite significant. Good place to learn a versatile skill set in the business world and begin a potential life long career.

High growth and plenty of autonomy

Great place to work with little micro managing. Strong promote from within mentatlity and if you're driven you can expect consistant promotions every 1-2 years. Inspiring executives who are connected with what's actually happening in the field.

Nice growing company

This is a great company to be a part of if you like challenges and go above and being. You are treated with respect by everyone and opportunities keep coming our way when you put all the efforts in your work.
