Easy place to work
SECRETARY (Former Employee) - 379 W, Valley Blvd., Rialto, CA - 15 August 2022
They always provided a good work place with everythink you needed to do your job. No one stood over you cracking a whip. We worked 10/4s and it was wonderful have 3 day weekend. Traveling was involved and always done in a professionlly, and we were paid for our time. I was also on the Excutive Board from 93 to 2002 as the recording Secretary. Involved in inter union business and decisions.
Pros
health care, dental, retirement paid by employer, easy work enviroment
Cons
hard to always get your lunch at the same time everyday. But still got a lunch time.

Steady employment
UPS Package Handler (Former Employee) - California - 17 September 2021
Though it was seemingly busy, I couldn't find a balance of work and private life whereas I donate much of my time to charities and fundraisers. Should the balance arise, I welcome any career with the Teamsters

Definitely challenging. Must be alert at all times.
Forklift and Pallet Jack Operator (Current Employee) - Chicago, IL - 24 January 2020
Work begins at various hours of the day depending on the venue.
You get there early, sign in and meet up with co-workers.
Meet your steward at the proper location, have a safety meeting, inspect forklift, get on with the tasks at hand.
Exciting and challenging work experience.

Horrible office job!!
Office Manager I (Former Employee) - Elgin, IL - 29 July 2019
President of the Union is very demeaning and undermining. Micro- manages everything and you will never get anything accomplished because your not authorized to do anything. No professionalism displayed by him whatsoever. Diffidently not a place i would recommend to any one! In addition to the worst business practices at the office he also deducts pay from salaried employees

Rewarding when there is work.
Driver (Current Employee) - Knoxville, TN - 16 June 2019
I do enjoy working for the Union when ever there is work. With the union they call you, and you have very little time to get the job site that they need you at, and usually it is in another stated. When I was at work I would have to be gone for months at a time, and only get to come home for maybe one day a month.
Pros
Good money, and Benefits.
Cons
Only 6-9 months of work per year.
