It was a good entry-level position in the banking experience. You got chances to strengthen your communication and problem-solving skill which are transferrable to your own career path.

Productive and fun working environment

Typical day is busy. lots of customers to attend to. some customer situations harder than others and may take considerable time. Overall I learned a lot from the position so far. The culture at work is awesome and we definitely place customers first as well as strive to provide legendary service. Most enjoyable part of job is helping customers solve their issues and feeling a sense of accomplishment. Hardest part of job in my opinion is ensuring the right procedures are being followed in every scenario with a customer but this comes with time and experience.

Pros

give aways, opportunities to volunteer, free lunches from time to time

Cons

rough shifts - sometimes past midnight

Fun with co-workers and management

Pros: Great people Customers are usually more fun to deal with over the phones Learn a lot with financial banking and credit lending guidelines Cons; Not enough hours with part-time in call centres Hard to find shift trades with others Sales is sometimes impossible to meet daily/monthly Split shifts for part-timers always had extra sales targets when more hours added

Very enthuiastic staff and supportive management

The vibe at TD Canada Trust is truly self-motivated and results-driven. Throughout training you are provided essential tools to excel at your role and clarifications on incentives to surpass expectations, both financially and opportunity wise. The foundation of the banking environment at TD is its legendary customer service and security. Strict compliance and fraud prevention is rule number one, customer service two and sales three.
