Very competitive very professional but amazing benefits

It’s not easy to survive there. It’s a place for the best of the bests. Sometimes it’s stressful but if you can survive it’s rewarding for sure. Fast career growth for people who are doing well. Lot’s of appreciation and opportunities for the hard workers. But not everyone’s cup of tea.Amazing benefits. Specially health support is the best in the entire industry. Best HR support in the industry as well.

Pros

Salary, benefits, bonus, career growth

Cons

Stressful, competitive, micromanaged

Flexible working hours but horrible working hours

TD open 8am to 8pm. so you will have variable shift like 7-3, 8-4, 9-5, 10-6,or 12-8, 1-9. If you are students and you don't have a family to take care, this flexible will perfectly fit your schedule while it will be hard to take if you have a kid to accompany at night. Management is good. You will have proper training but prepare for customers problems and stressful days.

Pros

flexible hours; friendly environment; good benefit

Cons

horrible working hours; stressful; fast-speed

Management won't care about you unless you perform

Beware, tread lightly, customers are always right culture here at this bank. If you have personal problems, you'll need to fix them on your own since management won't care about you, even if its caused by something at work, and in turn, affecting your performance.

Great staff members, but a high stressful place to work

A typical day as a Financial Advisor at TD would be to get prepared in the morning for your day. A day could include meetings for: opening a bank account, credit card, a line of credit, personal or car loan, business account, mutual fund, applying for a mortgage or estate planning. I learned how to time manage and work efficiently. Branch manager was amazing, but had no control as upper management did a lot of push down to him. Hardest part of the job was to be able to manage my position as an Advisor also making sure the front of the branch was managed due to short staff. Enjoyable part of the job was the amazing coworkers.

Pros

Amazing coworkers

Cons

high stressed and no care from upper management

Think before you get carried away by the name

Lack of support and corrupt management. I have worked for many financial institutions and TD has by far been the worst. No Support and only sales driven.

Very Stressful

Bad management, split offs, very stressful job. Depends on the management. But my experience has been really bad compared to my previous organization.

The better bank

A great company that is struggling to transform it's culture beyond the need to grow it's business, while the intention to grow and develop is there it is balancing the cost of transformation with the results. I've had a mix of managers that were mostly good, they try to reward good behaviour, being a teamplayer, etc. but numbers are what really matters, a good place for people with strong sales skills. Probably still better than the other banks.

Do not work here

I have worked for a few of the large banks in Canada and I can say with confidence, TD is the worst. The salary is low and bonuses are based on favorites. Process is built without logic and technology is archaic.

Pros

Nice business card, people are impressed

Cons

Management, lack of training, backstabbing, zero money

Wotk culture

Most horrible place to work. When I started working there I had no initial point of contact and I wasn't given any training too. My branch manager was very abusive. All he was doing was swearing and yelling. If you go to him asking for something he will go mad and will start yelling at you. All branch staff was very unprofessional and mean.

Fast paced team based environment.

Excellent learning place for the financial and business sectors. Open accepting mindset. Large organisation that can vary quite a bit from region to region on level of competition in the workplace and many other work-life balance factors.

No fun activity expect occational l dinner from employer

Expect ones in a while lunch or dinner with fellow staffs. Other than there is no perks. There is hardly any time with fellow co-workers to socialize and work-life balance is not ideal.

Stressful goals

Depends on where you work and how the manager is. Some managers work with you, some are just micromanagers who have no clue on how to develop staff and people.
