too much workload for its payroll. Bad business hours and payroll is below industry average, and too much workload. Technology is also behind (well most Canadian banks are far behind US banks).

Worst place to work in Canada

If you love your mental health, do not work for this company. There is no training or support especially when you are new on the job. You get thrown on the job without any training or support. The managers here are very lazy to do their jobs and only looking for someone who would perform some magic without putting any input to help their people succeed. Run away from this company without looking back!

TD IS A GOOD PLACE TO WORK! Best people work there. Managers are very friendly, and they want to see you grow and succeed. Do you best and they will help you grow.

The job keeps life interesting

Let’s stick with the highlightsManager is amazing, great support, great culture, everyone willing to help everyone, not bad training could use some work if your new to the banking world, pay could be more based on the work load, no room for advancement if you don’t live in the big cities or if you don’t have a diploma. If you call in sick they still want you to call your appointments. They want you to work on vacations. They have Manulife for medical and they don’t cover ANY drugs (worst drug company ever).

Manulife for dental and medical (they suck), work life balance, need diploma to work here

ive worked for the company about 5 years and was at diff bank 3 years pror. td is great place to learn hnds on exp with mortgage and investments because you do it all yourself.

Fair pay, but managers are too much sale driven

Pay is a bit higher than other banks in exchange of high sell targets. The whole company culture is sell sell sell, they are great for clients, not so much for employees.

Good atmosphere, relaxed and modern with good office amenities

Good mix of people to work with, helpful coworkers and good way to gain confidence in customer service. Unfortunately upper management is too aggressive with target setting and push staff to push products on clients that they do not need or are not suitable, they deny this but on more than one occasion customers would receive products such as credit cards or lines of credit they never applied for.

Branch Life

High stress and not enough compensation. Management pre-picks their favourites for promotion. Competition between staff members and a lot of toxic behaviour.

Underpaid for what you're doing

Very competitive, number oriented, and fast paced place. You can tell that you're just another number of the company - other banks at least try to hide it.Coworkers are amazing enough that you would like to stay just for them. You can't leave.. because once you do, they'll have to carry your hurden.

pay below average and management think the work load is reasonable when you are doing two peoples job. So many coaching sessions when that are unnecessary.

Great company for Career advancement.

Td has been great to work for, they are always encouraging career planning and advancing through roles, training and educating their employees, and helping them achieve whatever they want out of their banking careers. With that comes a lot of management turnover which can be frustrating. There’s always changing of roles and responsibilities which can also be frustrating for people who aren’t looking for advancement or change.

Good place to work

TD is a good place to work because of the management and culture. Very supportive and inclusive culture and really amazing management. The best I’ve had. Benefits are good and pay is okay. Pay should be higher with cost of living. Lots of opportunity for growth in this company. If you want to be a FA you better love sales. Very fast paced and demanding.

great place for clients, worst for employees

work-life balance doesn't exist in retail banking at TD. Your schedule is flexible, by flexible I mean every day is different, you have to check your schedule literally every day before work. Lowest pay among banks. The benefits are good. Small branches suffer the most, no support from the management, and there are not enough employees in retail banking, management will squeeze employees to stay open

it can be challenging at times, you need to be friends with management. Coaching is not very well organized, as they do not coach you on procedures, they try to teach how to talk to people.

There is no loyalty from the overlords. Your direct superior is usually good but decisions about your life are not made by them.

Hated working for TD. They treat people like numbers. The expectations of how you interact with your clients reminds me of when I managed restaurants and we had to train new 16yr old hostesses. All they care about is numbers and they always find ways to pay their people less. Do not work here.

It is a good company

I love the people I work with, I love the company culture. Management has always been nice. Pay is ok. Pressure for selling is high, but makes you a good sales person
