Terrible place to work for and the epitome of corporate greed

I started working for TD around April and from the jump there were a lot of red flags. Firstly they didn’t pay me for the first two weeks and I had to beg for some type of communication. I ended actually injuring myself because they didn’t pay me and I quit my previous job which left me in a bad situation. The training was long tedious and from home. It barely really addressed what the position was going to be like and felt very rushed. A lot of it didn’t have anything to do with what we were actually hired to do. First few weeks of taking calls was stressful and rushed. Not much help coming from the coaches as they were overwhelmed too. The manager was just plainly incompetent and made many false promises. During interviews they made it clear the focus was customer service but once we actually started working they wanted us to push sales. Credit limit increases, balance transfers and things of the nature. In reality a lot of these things we pushed were very predatory in nature and was only exacerbated by the culture at TD. They lure you in with incentives and benefits but in reality it’s just the same corporate nonsense. Upon termination I was promised they would input my last hours I worked and so far I haven’t even gotten paid for those even after reaching out multiple times to my manager. A lot of incompetence and bad management. I definitely don’t recommend this job because you can’t pick your shifts and the work life balance will suffer as a result. They are always hiring because they can’t keep employees and the training is subpar. Stay far away, these people are leeches

Overall it is ok fast paced lots of targets to meet. You only move up if you meet every target. It is work from a call center and you take about 50 calls per day

easy days you just take calls and follow procedures. days can get long when there are rough calls or aggressive customers but overall if you can handle it for a year you'll be okay

Great place to work

Overall okay. But definitely sales is pushed on employees to make a minimum per month. Everything in the call center was monitored but not the branch so who knows what they do there

worst place i have ever worked

TD is not worth your time or energy. as a bank or as a company to work for unreasonable goals, very high pressure thinly veiled threats are common from management


money was decent and benefits were good

Worst work experience

TD has very bad racism management. They also make too many promises at the beginning of training and then they are lying. I don't recommend anyone to work for td

Long hrs, very stressful, employees has to make sales which td managers called as advise conversation in short period of time.

Call center with high target expectations

Lots of sales requirements and high expectations for call volume. Shift work including evenings and weekends. Good pay with room to advance and good benefit package

TD is the choice you want to make. They spend millions of dollars every years into the happiness and wellness of their employees.


Good salary, good benefits, super environement, lots of culture, business structure oriented towards wellness of employees, flexible hours, student-friendly model, comprehensiveness

Good culture and diversity

I was in the phone channel department. it was very interesting but the pressure was pretty much. The job becomes boring and not productive after a while.

It was your typical call centre job. I don't think I'm a person who can work in one though. I talked to people about their credit cards and tried to upsell (advice conversations they called them) them on new product. Great if you're a salesperson, which I am not

Horrible shifts .

Very easy to get into because they are always hiring. Lots of people leave wishing the first three months due to the horrible working shifts. Very busy.

TD Review

Benefits are good, you can pick what you want for medical/dental insurance coverage. They are very strict on being compliant on all calls. Managers spend too much time in meetings and not enough time with their teams, on the floor.

Job is always at risk

Lot of hidden agendas and politics They don't care about your skills and qualifications They need only robots listen to them, no questions to be asked The officer/Manager level are poor in computer and technical skills After all, they need someone who knows only English with "0" educational expertise good for a post secondary educated person You could see every other day, they terminate employees They hire to use you for their every 3 month promotional sales This is a temporary position Never recommend this job

answer any questions about credit car

Hit goals and numbers, got the expected amount of credit cards activation's. upgraded clients credit car, explain the difference between every card. promote other TD products

Management needs big improvement.

Your manager doesn't support you if you are applying for another position within TD no matter how much of a sunshine employee you are. All they care about their own bonuses from their teams. Working at TD call centre is mentally exhausting. By the time you are home you don't feel like anything else to do. I stopped going to the gym and hanging out with friends. Very stressful environment.

good benefits and good paying job but not a career. Stressful environment and false promises. shifts are not easy to switch and a lot of micro management.

Encouragement to Progress

Highest management was wonderful and encouraging to grow a career, lower level would not go out of their way to help you and you were not easily given what you were entitled to like your earned vacation time off.

Exciting work environment

A lot of advancement opportunities, good pay. However, if the team or management isn't supportive it can be a tedious job! As long as you are friendly, patient and willing to put in the work it's a good place to be!
