I was in the phone channel department. it was very interesting but the pressure was pretty much. The job becomes boring and not productive after a while.

Amazing company, you will not find better

Look. If you're searching for a company: - That truly cares about you, where their culture and acceptance are simply amazing - Where you have one of the best benefit plans, and fair salary, - Where their structure is oriented into making your part-time student job into a carreer - That prioritizes customer experience over sales ... TD is the choice you want to make. They spend millions of dollars every years into the happiness and wellness of their employees.

Pros

Good salary, good benefits, super environement, lots of culture, business structure oriented towards wellness of employees, flexible hours, student-friendly model, comprehensiveness

Cons

Repetitive situations, depending on your job

Eh

It was your typical call centre job. I don't think I'm a person who can work in one though. I talked to people about their credit cards and tried to upsell (advice conversations they called them) them on new product. Great if you're a salesperson, which I am not

Horrible shifts .

Very easy to get into because they are always hiring. Lots of people leave wishing the first three months due to the horrible working shifts. Very busy.

TD Review

Benefits are good, you can pick what you want for medical/dental insurance coverage. They are very strict on being compliant on all calls. Managers spend too much time in meetings and not enough time with their teams, on the floor.

Job is always at risk

Lot of hidden agendas and politics They don't care about your skills and qualifications They need only robots listen to them, no questions to be asked The officer/Manager level are poor in computer and technical skills After all, they need someone who knows only English with "0" educational expertise good for a post secondary educated person You could see every other day, they terminate employees They hire to use you for their every 3 month promotional sales This is a temporary position Never recommend this job

Management needs big improvement.

Your manager doesn't support you if you are applying for another position within TD no matter how much of a sunshine employee you are. All they care about their own bonuses from their teams. Working at TD call centre is mentally exhausting. By the time you are home you don't feel like anything else to do. I stopped going to the gym and hanging out with friends. Very stressful environment.

Pros

You can free banking account and 50% off on premium credit cards.

Cons

Corporate structure. SR oriented.

Good Place as a starting point

good benefits and good paying job but not a career. Stressful environment and false promises. shifts are not easy to switch and a lot of micro management.

Encouragement to Progress

Highest management was wonderful and encouraging to grow a career, lower level would not go out of their way to help you and you were not easily given what you were entitled to like your earned vacation time off.

Exciting work environment

A lot of advancement opportunities, good pay. However, if the team or management isn't supportive it can be a tedious job! As long as you are friendly, patient and willing to put in the work it's a good place to be!

great but no work life balance

Great but no work life balance tough to get better shifts. Great managers. Very hard to move up. hard to get weekends off You could grow in your career and still have a balanced family life. For a mom whose spouse was often overseas for work, this was great. Great support from managers.

Pros

Cons

Productive workplace

Everyone is always ready and excited to receive calls; it allows me to enhance my sales skills. Management is always informed of new policies and products. The culture is competitive and friendly. The most challenging part was to re-motivate oneself since a car injury. The most enjoyable part of the job was able to meet customers' needs.

It's a bank

TD is a bank. In order to make an inch of progress you will need to work there for 5 years. But if you have no aspirations and wish to suck your time out of life, it is highly recommended. Also ping pong tables.

Fun evironment hostile managers

I started wirking with td call center in credit card customer service. At first during training this job was a dream. The trainer was a vert exciting guy and taught the group well. Once on the floor your team manager maybe the worse person you ever met and really fake, or could be the best person you ever worked with and worked for. Unfortunately i had a team manager who was fake and only looked after himself. The job itself was great. Speaking to many different people on the phone. The best part of the job is helping out frusturated customers and making their day. Speaking to elders who just want to speak and making them laugh and helping them understand the new bank world and changes. 85% of the sales come on its own. The other 15% is how you explain new offers and options. Its not hard at all. TD Bank work culture is great BUT they need to change some Management to deliver to their staff to make a more welcoming and less hostile enivronment. Pay is good also.

Pros

Pay, work culture, friendly helpful staff

Cons

Management team. Operations team.
