A typical day at work

you learn day by day with a team of underwriters and credit assistants. Its a great environment with different cultures and languages. working on weekend and late shift is the hardest part of the job.

went down hill

Favors internal hires, which is a great opportunity for TD employees to move up in the industry or for experiencing different areas within TD. Downside, after working in different areas of TD, I was privy to different management teams. At the end, employees were subject to timing out breaks. And vacations were to be booked at the beginning of the year, and were not able to be rescheduled as the year goes by. For home life emergencies, TD was not very supportive. Income was at the lowest of the salary scale. Not competitive at all.

Great people and great work/life balance

Service customer and Branch personnel as one of the first callback underwriters used by TD. Aid in facilitating new hires and provided insightful training required Analyze financial profiles and determine credit worthiness for new and existing TD clients while still adhering to TDBG credit policy. Great work and life balance. Awesome culture. Great people to with.

Great Place to Work

No doubt TD is a great place to learn and grow. Peers are very helpful and supportive. Management kept on shifting probably because Personal Lending Department was comparatively new. All in all, good place to learn.

Hard work is recognized

At TD, you are respected, your opinions are heard, your questions are answered and your ideas are supported. As a Credit Analyst, I would adjudicate lending deals from various types of loans. Some of the hardest parts is when a client has a lot of dealings with the bank or if it is a borderline deal. This always keeps me on my feet as every deal is different and should be reviewed objectively. The managers are very supportive of you. They recognize and nominate you for certain awards within in the bank. This always motivates me to do my best and be recognized for my job well done.
