The management is extremely stressful, they push and demand on the first day of work. The collaboration between employees and employers are not very clear.

Decent pay, overworked. Decent advancement options

Td is fine. Good job, slightly underpaid. Very competitive and stressful at times depending on the role. Lots of advancement possibility but usually just small increases within the specific business unit.

Pros

Job security, possible advancement

Not worth your time working here

for anyone who wishes to go further in their careers, stay away from this BANK, RBC and others are much more competitive and much more tolerant of different races. For any new applicants, do not go to interview at Markham place, while I was working there, their HR is fine, but hiring manager simply is a joke.

Pros

some gifts

Cons

too many to list

Fun workplace

Typical days consist of me taking 60+ calls from customers and helping them with various issues in regards to their financial matters. The workplace culture is really accommodating.

I loved working her the culture, the coworkers ect but management is something that needs work. Managers tend to lack racial sensitivity and they micro manage

Management needs big improvement.

Your manager doesn't support you if you are applying for another position within TD no matter how much of a sunshine employee you are. All they care about their own bonuses from their teams. Working at TD call centre is mentally exhausting. By the time you are home you don't feel like anything else to do. I stopped going to the gym and hanging out with friends. Very stressful environment.

Pros

You can free banking account and 50% off on premium credit cards.

Cons

Corporate structure. SR oriented.

TD Phone Channel

You will gain alot of experience in delivering excellent customer service, providing advice and trouble shooting. There is alot of pressure to meet goals so you have to be someone who can work under pressure and in a fast paced environment. There are incentives for those who can exceed their goals.

Getting worse

Management is very terrible now. They under pay however, consistently expect more. Less recognition for performance than ever before. Other departments in the bank are still pretty good from what I understand but not fraud.

Productive and Fun environment with table tennis

A typical day at work is dynamic as the day is never the same. No two customers are the same and that can make for a challenging day or a very pleasant one. The job, however, can get monotonous and there is always constant pressure from management to hit targets which they class as giving "advice" even though it is sales. Management doesn't micromanage you. Most of the time you don't even see your manager, but when its time for review they do not refrain from their opinions regarding your performance.
