Very stressful, management always on your case if you do not sign up enough customers on products, back to back calls.

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Td never has enough people hired, customers in ques that are waiting is normally 1000 or more. Always listening to your calls, different departments managers instead of helping like to put bad comments in about you just to make themselves look good. There is a lot of passing the problems with customers onto the wrong departments.

Pros

Bonuses

Cons

Back to back calls

Ok

answering phones, providing customer service to cx. Stress at times to make your sales goal but is definitely achievable. Just trying to fill up room now.

Workplace culture

TD's workplace is dynamic and full of very talented individuals with diverse backgrounds. TD's culture is one that values the input of the employees and is constantly looking to be a better bank.

Good stepping stone - no place to make a career

I worked here for 3 years. Although the pay is very good compared to other unskilled job positions in London and surrounding area. The job is very stressful and heavily sales oriented. Management is very misleading about advancement opportunities. If you aren't comfortable forcing unnecessary products down people's throats you will quickly become unhappy working here and will feel like you're being prevented from applying for other work. The average employee works there for approx 10 months before getting fired or quitting. No work-life balance unless you're a student (which they are surprisingly accommodating for). Poor corporate culture, contradictory to their code of conduct and customer centrist model. They say put the customer first but do anything but. You've been forewarned. Good Luck!

Pros

Good relative entry level pay, semi-annual bonuses.

Cons

High-stress, bad work hours, micromanagement, mentally and emotionally draining.

Fun evironment hostile managers

I started wirking with td call center in credit card customer service. At first during training this job was a dream. The trainer was a vert exciting guy and taught the group well. Once on the floor your team manager maybe the worse person you ever met and really fake, or could be the best person you ever worked with and worked for. Unfortunately i had a team manager who was fake and only looked after himself. The job itself was great. Speaking to many different people on the phone. The best part of the job is helping out frusturated customers and making their day. Speaking to elders who just want to speak and making them laugh and helping them understand the new bank world and changes. 85% of the sales come on its own. The other 15% is how you explain new offers and options. Its not hard at all. TD Bank work culture is great BUT they need to change some Management to deliver to their staff to make a more welcoming and less hostile enivronment. Pay is good also.

Pros

Pay, work culture, friendly helpful staff

Cons

Management team. Operations team.

Challenging Job

When I started customer service was a little more the focus, but during my 5 years SALES became the #1 focus. Good pay and benefits and you work with some decent people.

Stressful Workplace

Would not recommend working here. A typical day is stressful, full of constant pressure. What I learned is that do not want to work in a call center ever again.

Productive and Efficient Workplace Environment

A typical day at work starts usually early in the morning for me around 5 AM. Working at TD has helped me gain a vast amount of knowledge about Finances as well as about myself. The training program is very effective and well put together and management is very encouraging and supportive of its employees. The culture is absolutely wonderful. There are daily competitions/events and prizes to keep the TD community growing together. The hardest part of the job is having empathy and lots and lots of patience. Sometimes we as employees get treated poorly by customers and must learn to let go of the previous call and focus on the next in order to encourage a positive mindset and atmosphere. The most enjoyable part of the job is speaking with customers about their life/their ideas and getting to know other people and their stories.
