Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Lots of sales requirements and high expectations for call volume. Shift work including evenings and weekends. Good pay with room to advance and good benefit package

a fast paced environment with data entry skills required. very repetitive

data entry, applying payments to customer's accounts from cheques sent to us through interoffice mail, regular mail and from collector's and or trustees.balancing at end of day. batched all cheques and forward to branchhardest part of the job was meeting deadlines eg. 24hour turnaround time and month end. zero backlogs required.learned alot of the banking industry and account recovery/collectionsthe most enjoyable part of it was not being micromanaged and you were able to work on your own.

Pros

autonomy and responsibility, clean ergonomic environment, good work and life balance, benefits and regular work hours. vacation time.

Cons

deadlines, repetetive work

A fast paced environment

A typical day here was non- stop from start to end.I learned much about each department I worked, and was encouraged by management to learn about other areas by job shadowing. Management would allow me to fill in where needed in each of the learned areas, as well as being able to continue in my original placement if possible.I thoroughly enjoyed being given the opportunities to increase and use my newly acquired knowledge.

Pros

continual learning. accomplishments and exceptional performance acknowledged by management.

Cons

longer than 40 hour weeks for much of the first 6 months.

Value in Employees

Working at TD Canada Trust was an experience that proved that there are establishments that do place their employees at top priority. At TD my team player skills were greatly improved and solidified, management was approachable and whenever help was needed it could be found.

Productive, fast paced, high preassure sales environment

Being employed with TD Canada Trust, was a rewarding experience, management was positive and supportive to a point, however, an expectation was and is demanded by you with regards to meeting daily and hourly sales targets. Additional training and support is offered to those in need and as such "IS" great, however, if you are still unable to perform at the required standard, you WILL-BE terminated, however, should you be terminated your transition will made with great ease and added support.

Pros

excellent suppotr structure through and through, compensation is great.

Cons

high preassure sales and set targets expected.
