Great workplace for students/part time opportunity

Started off in school as a part time CSR then moved my way up to Personal Banking Associate. Typical day is selling services to customers such as chequing account, savings, etc. Workplace culture is decent, employees for most part are okay but management can be hard to deal with sometimes. Lots of micromanagement.

If you dedicate yourself to the company it's easy to grow.

They should provide proper training for employees that would like to be a people manager, as employees needs and work life balance are just as important as their employment. HR doesn't support employees whatsoever, so if you have an issue, deem it as unresolved as HR always backs up Team Managers/ GMs. If you do what you're told to do you can grow within, but forget about having a personal life.


Gain product knowledge.


Poor management experience and compensation can be better.

Great Place to work

TD is great place to work. Colleagues are fun to work with and super helpful. TD takes diversity serious, so you will meet different kinds of people which i think is part of the reasons why i enjoy working there

easy days you just take calls and follow procedures. days can get long when there are rough calls or aggressive customers but overall if you can handle it for a year you'll be okay

No room for mistakes. Individuals expect excellence and nothing less. Not lenient

You are expected to be perfect, and flawless as soon as you start training, never let your guard down because the second you are sick during probation - you get berated for even having sickness as work matters more than the worker. Family matters happen *they don't care* don't even think about trying to take time off, even if it's an emergency. They expect perfection without even saying it- as you will get in trouble even for minor mistakes; even if you are learning to do the job if you aren't perfect at what you do expect the worse outcome and repercussions.


Fun co-workers and 50% of the coaches were so kind and helpful so it's the draw of the card honestly


Call after call pressure, Expected to upsell and aggressive sales tactics, Expect to be perfect the second you enter this position.

Great company for Career advancement.

Td has been great to work for, they are always encouraging career planning and advancing through roles, training and educating their employees, and helping them achieve whatever they want out of their banking careers. With that comes a lot of management turnover which can be frustrating. There’s always changing of roles and responsibilities which can also be frustrating for people who aren’t looking for advancement or change.

Working in a call centre can be stressful. There are sales targets and up-selling the customer if they wanted the offers.

The interview was easier than I thought for the call centre position, but being on the phones isn't for everyone. There are a lot of procedures to learn, as well as be comfortable to sell and to take criticism especially from customers who will take out their frustrations towards you at times.Managers want to help you, but as I said this kind of job isn't for everyone. The customer is always right thinking is very prevalent here, in that you need to be thick skinned to deal with some of the customer's and you almost have to be perfect it seems when a manager assesses your performance.It's a good experience in general, but not that great. I am still thankful for the chance to have worked at TD.

You're a number to them like everything else

You're simply a number to them. You better live up to expectations and meet your CPH or they'll look to get rid of you. They utilize temp companies that take a large cut of the wage and will only communicate with you through them. Your boss will smile and tell you you're doing everything great to your face and then an hour later you'll get a call from the temp agency saying that you arent performing to what they want. The whole things a joke and they pose the company as some "holy grail" if you make it past the temp phase, which they hand select the ones that they want to even APPLY to full time positions.

Productive workplace

A lot of opportunity to go on different departments once you get in. Management are very supportive with staff. Two days off per week. Vacation leave and time offs are provided.

Good place to work

TD is a good place to work because of the management and culture. Very supportive and inclusive culture and really amazing management. The best I’ve had. Benefits are good and pay is okay. Pay should be higher with cost of living. Lots of opportunity for growth in this company. If you want to be a FA you better love sales. Very fast paced and demanding.

Fun place to work. Daily work is routine. Leadership team are very helpful. Lot of opportunities to move from one deparment to another.

IT Application Audit was not the place to be.

Work environment wasn't very collegial except for a few good Senior Managers and Managers and peer Sr. Auditors and Auditors. Things may have changed since my departure.

Overall okay. But definitely sales is pushed on employees to make a minimum per month. Everything in the call center was monitored but not the branch so who knows what they do there

Growth opportunities are immense as long as you're willing to grow. Overall great experience!!

Its good to work for the bank to get first hand experience in financial sector. Culture is really nice and depends very much on your manager. If you work hard and have a nice manager. That's recipe for success. Favoritism is there but if you're working hard, it won't go unnoticed and they'll make every effort to grow you.

great place for clients, worst for employees

work-life balance doesn't exist in retail banking at TD. Your schedule is flexible, by flexible I mean every day is different, you have to check your schedule literally every day before work. Lowest pay among banks. The benefits are good. Small branches suffer the most, no support from the management, and there are not enough employees in retail banking, management will squeeze employees to stay open

A great place to work, since the Management is supportive in its culture and ethical in its business practices.

TD Bank is one of the best banks to work for. The culture is quite encouraging, supportive, and educational. Although it is a big commercial bank, I felt like working for a smaller organization in which everyone interacts and gets to know each other on a personal level.
