Does TD do background check and credit check.? Also they do before employment or post employment.? And for credit check will they ask for SIN number.?

They will do a soft credit check so as to not affect your credit score so yes, they will ask for your SIN number and that is pretty standard and straightforward of any job you apply to in Canada. They called 2 of my former employers out of the 4 previous employers I provided

They do the background and credit check prior to beginning employment but after offering the position. It is a third party company that completes the checks so TD does not actually see the specifics of it but yes it does ask for a SIN.
