Someone (Former Employee) –  Brampton, ON19 March 2019
Not a nice place to work. People get fired for no reason. Too many fired or left. Poor managers. Unsuportive HR. Chemists suport each others. Only suport they get.

Productive yet challenging work environment
Senior Accountant (Current Employee) –  Brampton, ON15 March 2019
The work environment is productive and supportive. Old legacy systems present a challenge resulting in considerable amount of manual work. However these are being currently replaced.

Analytical R&D Department is the worst
Analyrical Chemist (Current Employee) –  Brampton, ON27 February 2019
Worst place to work for! I don't recommend to enemy!

Few words to describe this department: bullying, dictatorship, stressful environment , disrespectful and unprofessional treatment, lack of training, (sick, ignorant and unknowledgeable) management, retaliation if you speak up for basic rights, layoff for illogical reasons even if you are hard working person, favoritism, Unreasonable time for heavy workload, Negative feedback and performance even if you are one of the best chemist in the department.

It used to be good place to work for. However, after new management came, it turned to worst place to work for.

Honestly without exaggeration, if you want to get heart attack, get sick and stressful, lose hair and have grey hair, join this department

One thing I would like to know "who supports such management!?!!! "
Pros
Salary and benefits compared to other companies, free coffee/tea
Cons
Analyrical R&D management, work culture and environment

Very demanding, long work hours.
Supervisor Quality Control (Former Employee) –  Brampton9 March 2018
Very demanding on a daily basis, long work days for supervisor and manager, therefore unable to balance life and work. Upper Management is constantly putting pressure on lab staff and staff are under pressure. Workload not shared by other departments within the group, therefore lab is overloaded with work.
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours of work, not compensated adequately.

R&D Analytical is a poor place to work
Chemist (Former Employee) –  Brampton, ON9 December 2017
The start to the day is an unplanned, ill-organized task that is handed down from a manager, who for political reasons, isn't yours.

The work culture has no quarrels with bullying you with laying off, intimidation and peer pressure to comply to orders from managers that infringe on workers right as per Employment standards act. However, if any voice is raised for basic right, management retaliates by making up a reasons for layoff.

The work itself, when organized is acceptable, however dealing with corruptly political management is a whole different and grueling story.

This faulty culture has promoted the persistence of employees whose role is solely the collection and transfer of information to the erring management.
Pros
Salary at regular intervals
Cons
Ungrateful, ill-organized, bullying and distrusful management and lacking in positive work culture

A very good pharmaceutical company to work with. Small organizational structure allows to generate more $ income per capital invested.
Line Service Technician (Former Employee) –  Brampton, ON21 June 2017
A very simple workplace characterized by people happily working with each other as the production lines literally are very close to each other. Interaction with people in the lines creates a stronger support system allowing for better collaboration. High work morale is highly evident in this workplace. As Line Service Technician, one feels that he is truly responsible and accountable in the way the line should run.
Pros
Simple organizational structure, high team spirit.
Cons
Not very competitive salary.

Productive and AN VIBRATE Company to Work! Absolutely loved it!
Vendor Management Associate (Former Employee) –  Brampton, ON13 April 2015
Working at Taro Pharmaceuticals has been nothing but a great experience! A typical day at work is filled with smiles and a positive motivation to always succeed.
Working in departments such as Quality Control, Assurance, Systems as taught myself a lot in a Medical company, the demands for such products are high, the duration, the documents, engineering and more, all play a role to create business and such products.

The management at Taro Pharmaceutical has been quite interesting, getting meet directors of such departments was a bit nerve racking at first, but then again, its all of a learning experience. My fellow co-workers were helpful when things were stressful as they assured myself to keep striving. with this positive messages they helped myself become the person who i am today and i am proud of it!

The hardest part of the job or any job is thinking negative! Negativity can never be accepted in any job field, having a positive mind and a motive to succeed is whats need in any individual and or job field. If your happy you can make everyone happy! - Something i always tell myself

Waking up in the morning and noticing that i can make a difference, i is the most enjoyable part of the job or any job!
Pros
Management, Co-workers, Job Duties and etc
Cons
Negativity

Good people to work with in a difficult market.
Senior Territory Manager (Former Employee) –  Nova Scotia25 February 2014
As the only rep in Nova Scotia I was required to work independently while on territory but had great support from management. Worked well with colleagues while at sales meetings, (once or twice a year)
Called on physicians and pharmacists promoting a line of dermatology products as well as a line of generic products. At times it was difficult to gain distribution due to listings being contracted at the head office level for pharmacy chains. This was the reason for the territory position being eliminated in a restructuring phase.

Prospective employees beware
Former Employee (Former Employee) –  Brampton, ON10 February 2014
Silo mentality. Highly volatile and political environment. Weak management team. Fingerpointing/blame rather than coach/mentor. High stress, conflicting priorities. Treat employees with very little respect. Favoritism throughout. Sr. Management lacks vision. No training.
