Fun Work Environment with Room to Grow
I have been at this company now for 5 years. I stay for a reason.Tapestry has provided me with the work/life balance I have so desperately needed after having children. Not to mention the benefit packages to help me take care of my family. You are treated with respect. You HAVE an opinion and it is LISTENED to. They want new fresh ideas, they see the potential in people through your personality not just credentials. If you are looking for a long term job where you will make a difference in people's lives. This is it.

Very fulfilling job, very friendly atmosphere with residents and coworkers.
After working here for a couple of years I must say I've had nothing but growth within the company. I am lucky to have had this experience, and the opportunity to make bonds and connections within the community. If you are looking for a work environment that feels more like family and friends then this is the place.

Best Job Ever!
I feel like I truly lucked out finding this job. This past year I had the pleasure of covering a maternity leave position for Wellness Associate at Wesbrook Village. There are so many amazing things I can say about this job, but it really comes down to the people you work with. All the employees are amazing, it really feels like a family, everyone says "good morning" and "hello (name)" to one another everyday, everyone knows each other's names across all departments. Moreover, the residents are such a joy to work with. I had previous experience working with older adults and loved it so I knew I would enjoy working with older populations. The residents here are just incredible humans, so many amazing stories and wisdom from a lifetime surrounding you. It is a privilege to work with such inspiring people. In terms of the position of Wellness Associate, it is the dream job. You get to plan, organize and sometimes present in-house and external programing for the residents. There is a lot of flexibility with how you approach the job. Resident suggestions are encouraged and abundant, that being said, you still get the opportunity to focus on your strengths and what you can bring to the residents. For example, I am keen on meditation so I created an 8-week meditation and self-reflection course for the residents that I led. It ended up being a big hit amongst the residents so I ran the course again later in the year over the summer months. This was just one way I had the opportunity to personalize my job and share common interests with residents. All this being said there are always aspects of a job that are not always your favourite, and yet I do think that it really just depends on how you approach the challenge. For example, I knew going into the job that decorating for large events was apart of it. It was something I didn't have a lot of experience with and honestly, intimidated me at times. Over the past year, we have successfully put on at least a dozen large events from set up to take down and a few of them I led myself from start to finish. Decorating and event planning may not be my strongest asset, however I learned a lot of valuable knowledge through this experience and I now feel that I have more confidence when confronted with challenges. This also speaks to my supervisor, who is an amazing leader, providing support and encouragement when needed and helped me reach my potential, the perfect mix of wins and challenges! I've said it once and I'll say it again because it's true!, the best part about this job and working at Tapestry WV is the people, from managing staff and head office administration to our night shift Resident Assistants and everyone in between, it is such a great atmosphere and work-family to be apart of. Even though I had to leave this job to fulfil my dreams in higher education, I would come back to work here in a heartbeat! I would recommend to anyone who is a team player, a leader themselves, a people person and a hard-worker. Cheers!

Productive and fun working with co workers and the residents
There are always pros and cons in every work place. This includes Tapestry At Wesbrook Village. But This the best place work I have so far. The management is very supportive, salary is good and we are also unionized. I love working with my friends here too.

A fun place to work where team members and management work together to create a pleasureable and productive work environment.
I enjoy being able to assist in the betterment of the lives of our residents by facilitating their transportation needs and forging true freindships with them along the way.The management and various departments work together to create a cohesive unit that attempts to improve upon resident services and accomodations on a daily basis. I have truly enjoyed my work experience at Tapestry.
