Here at TJX Canada, diversity is essential to maintaining our family-like environment. Whatever your interests, this is a place where we value individual differences. Why do we encourage you to express your unique talents around here? Because you bring out the best in us, simply by sharing your views.
We value your feedback. To prove it, we maintain a strict Open Door philosophy that welcomes your best ideas, your latest questions, and your biggest (or smallest) concerns. What makes us unique, what makes our workplace feel like family, is working with caring people like you.
Every one of us deserves respect, because we all have an important role to play in our TJX family: Remember Everyone Affects Customer Happiness (REACH). We go above and beyond for our customers and each other. This is shared dedication. This is us.
We're TJX Canada, and we operate Winners, HomeSense, and Marshalls where, every day, customers find the latest and greatest designer brand names for less than they'd pay elsewhere. But more than just being a company responsible for keeping our customers looking and feeling great, we're individuals with strengths and quirks and complex emotions, doing challenging jobs that range from accounting to computer systems to store design to merchandising to buying and more.
Winners, acquired by TJX in 1990, is the leading off-price family apparel and home fashions retailer in Canada. As of 2015's year end, Winners operated 245 stores in Canada. Winners, along with HomeSense and Marshalls in Canada, comprise TJX Canada.
Winners offers great values, fashions and brands in family apparel. In addition to women's and men's apparel, Winners offers family footwear, children's apparel, lingerie, accessories and other merchandise, including home fashions and beauty products. Select Winners stores also offer fine jewelry and some feature The Runway, a high-end designer department.
Our buyers are on the hunt throughout the year for the hottest brand name and designer fashions of the season on clothing, footwear and accessories for women, men and kids. With thousands of brand names in our stores, a trip to WINNERS is a fashion lover’s dream. And designer doesn’t just stop at the closet – we have unbelievable deals on the latest home décor trends as well.
We buy from all kinds of vendors: big brand names to boutique, designer labels, as well as up-and-coming labels and one-of-a-kind gems. We also have some merchandise manufactured for us to bring you exceptional fashion and quality at an amazing price. Our buyers choose many different colors, styles and fabrics so there are always lots of great choices for you.
Our buyers are opportunistic and entrepreneurial. So when a designer overproduces or other stores overbuy, we swoop in, negotiate the lowest possible price, and pass the savings on!
We work with unique individuals who are passionate about a variety of things. Though we celebrate the diversity among us, we also recognize that we are united in our commitment to our communities.
We strive to stimulate the passion of our Associates. We seek out their ideas. We respect their interests outside of work. We even reward their volunteer efforts with paid time off. We offer a variety of programs and partner with several charities to maximize the impact we can make together. Take a look at what our Associates have been up to and see if you belong here with us.
The TJX Canada Go Green Team is comprised of dedicated Associates throughout the organization, including Home Office, Stores, and Distribution Centres. We're committed to being an environmentally responsible corporate citizen and neighbor. Established in 2008, the TJX Canada Go Green team set out to conserve natural resources, minimize waste, ensure energy is used responsibly in all aspects of our business, and to honor the principals of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
What do we do?
Since our inception more than five years ago, we have engaged Associates throughout the organization through a variety of events, including:
-Hosting an annual Eco Fest event for all TJX Canada Home Office Associates
-Collecting over 20,000 commitments from Associates across the country to reduce their impact on the environment at home or in the workplace
-Developing waste diverse programs at Home Office, Stores, and Distribution Centres that limit the amount of waste going to landfill
-Hosting clothing/small home goods donation drives at Home Office in support of Goodwill
-Facilitating store-led community Go Green campaigns such as community clean ups and garden planting events
-Hosting Lunch 'n Learn sessions at Home Office and Distribution Centres
We love our Go Green Team. However, we care for a lot more than the environment. We also care for the men, women and children, who live and work and play in our communities. That's why we support a variety of charities and have raised millions of dollars to help those in need through various organizations, including:
-Sunshine Dreams for Kids
-Kids Help Phone
-Canadian Women's Foundation
-Various Food Banks/Shelters

We see ourselves as a global, off-price, value retailer and our mission is to deliver great value to our customers every day. We do this by offering a rapidly changing assortment of quality, fashionable, brand name, and designer merchandise generally 20% to 60% below full-price retailers’ (including department, specialty, and major online retailers) regular prices on comparable merchandise. With our value proposition, we reach a broad range of fashion- and value-conscious customers across many income levels and demographic groups.
In our history as a Company, we have delivered steady sales and earnings growth and some of the highest returns on investment we have seen in retail. We have seen only one year with an annual comparable store sales decline. Further, 2017 marked our 22nd consecutive year of comparable store sales increases and our 21st consecutive year of dividend increases.
We believe that we operate one of the most flexible business models in the world and that year after year, our great flexibility has enabled us to succeed through various economic and retail environments. Our stores have no walls between departments, which enables us to expand and contract merchandise categories to respond to market trends and changes in customer preferences. Our inventories turn rapidly, which allows us to buy close to need, with visibility into current fashion and pricing trends. We source merchandise globally from a universe of over 20,000 vendors and more than 100 countries. We see ourselves as leaders in innovation, constantly testing new ideas, seeking the right categories, current fashions and top brands, and leveraging information from our worldwide buying presence. Further, our financial strength gives us the ability to invest in the growth of the business. These are some of the key factors that give us great confidence in our ability to achieve our goals for global growth. – less
