No care of their people
Project/Technical Analyst (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB7 July 2019
All the care is the companies they send people to and not the people that they send. They try and make the management of that company happy. Once the job is over, they forget they even know you

Contractor (Former Employee) –  Mississauga, ON6 July 2019
Your experience may vary depending on location and the recruiter you are assigned to, but overall the recruiters were professional and approacheable, you can talk about any issues on the job and they will help you look for another position after the contract ends.
Pros
Professional and approcheable recruiters
Cons
Sometimes recruiters are unfamiliar with the industry you are in

Great place to work
Agile Business Analyst (Former Employee) –  Montréal, QC18 April 2019
The Montreal Solutions Center was a great place to work and provided the opportunity to learn the Agile process. Unfortunately, the salary compensation was below industry standards.

Great team, motivating culture
Technical Recruiter (Current Employee) –  Calgary, AB15 February 2019
Inclusive training, structured role and clear responsibilities. Strong earning potential for those willing to work at it and that have a knack for sales and recruiting. Not an easy job, lots of rejection. Lots of uncontrollable factors. Rewarding when things go right.
Pros
Lunches & Coffee, Underground Parking, Management, Good Culture
Cons
Cold-calling, office setting

Good recruiting company
Project Manager / TELUS Mobility Contractor (Former Employee) –  Richmond, BC10 December 2018
Most recruiters that work at TEK Systems are young, low paid and inexperienced. The recruiters did buy me lunch a few times and followed up on my job progress. Over the coarse of 4 years I had three different recruiters from TEK Systems. Employee turn-over is high.

Expect to never put away your phone.
Technical Recruiter (Information Technology) (Former Employee) –  Ottawa, ON23 October 2018
Not the most transparent when starting. 10 hour days minimum, and stuck in some old habits when it comes to their day to day. Nice people to work with internally.

IT (Former Employee) –  Ontario23 October 2018
Lied about the nature of the job. Did not pay overtime. Forced on-call rotation when explicitly told it wasn't part of the position. I felt like a commodity being used to make other people money. I will never work for them again.

Great people, long hours, mixed bag.
IT Recruiter (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON28 September 2018
The culture is the best part of the company. A typically young environment with social people. Incredibly long hours, compensation packages aren't the best relative to other firms in the industry.

TEKsystems is a great place to build a career, although the hours are sometimes long the people and the environment are top notch. They provide thorough training and all the tools to be successful, it's up to you to do the hard work!

Contract House
Business Relationship Manager (Former Employee) –  Lansing, MI18 July 2018
As long as you're earning, all is well. If you drop a contract, you may likely fall between the cracks (i.e. recruiter quit Tek, and was not notified of any replacement -- limbo).

High stress with high return
Technical Recruiter (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON6 February 2018
Days start with early morning meetings where teams mull over their targeted business plans and share ideas on how to drive business forward.

After meeting, you sit at your desk and start calling consultants to identify their skills, goals, and interests in order to help sell roles to them.
Pros
Great networking, and free lunches
Cons
long hours and high ROI expectations

Say good bye to your personal life
Technical Recruiter (Former Employee) –  AB13 December 2017
No work life balance, terrible management. They take people who are decent in sales and put them into director level positions, with little to no training on personnel management or leadership and expect them to positively impact your career. Most people who have been with the company for more than 2 yrs are so indoctrinated they expect you to give up all other aspirations for your life and career and just live the Tek Model. The company is designed to take people fresh out of school who have no life experience and shape them into thoughtless sales people so the company can make more money. no outside the box thinking, high pressure sales tactics to under cut consultants, and when they use you up they will spit you out and hire the next generation
