No care for their employees and the places they send you has some of the worst people I have ever met in my life. Management is nonexistent, you are basically on your own and there is now training on Company specific applications.
First off, the co workers (Drivers) are awesome! Best group of guys to work with! Wish I could say the same about the management. Your day typically starts anywhere from 5-6 am to 4-5pm. Tannis used to be a great place to work and you could control the pace of your run because your trucks skids were loaded in order. Now you are scanning every box with a scanner and the new system has the stops buried in the 6 foot high skids so you are down piling all day and behind on your run trying to look for mislabeled boxes or boxes that are buried at the very bottom of the skid. If you enjoy deadlifting/intense lifting (un needed stress) then this is the job for you!
They treat you like a wok horse they work you 14 hour days you make a mistake they try to fire you supervisors are awful no experience equipment is garbage the loads are backwards number ones at the bottom you were just picking all day while they are asking you why are you taking so long warning stay away very very stressful ,money sometimes is not everything working for them, you will eventually get hurt good luck
Too much of a workload supervisors are sarcastic and will lie to you
I have been working there going on 6 years now and it’s a great place to work with great people..the pay is great and I’m home every night and work 4 days a week unless wanting overtime..it’s physically demanding but love the job
Home every night and great pay
Early morning starts
I was asked by a guest where the perfect place was to propose to his fiancee. I told him about this view over the Gatineau side. I even helped him pick what to wear. I also told him what time the sun was going to set. He said thank you and the next day he told me everything. She said yes and he said they were going on their honeymoon in the Bahamas. Lastly, he said he would remember what I did for him and he invited me to the wedding. Although I could not attend because it was an expensive trip, he said he will not forget me. It was a great experience because I feel like I helped spark something for a special couple.
Was always able to eat food, during break and lunch break
Not enough pay
My daily responsibilities was insuring my accounts were taken care of and I was expanding my territory. I learned true customer service by insuring every issue and problem was my problem...if my customers had an issue, then it was my issue. There was very little opportunity to move ahead. The last year was difficult with so much change. I had three bosses in the last year and very little support in the last 9 months. The best part of the job is the thrill to help customers. I would enjoy that I helped them out of an emergency or help them with there long term growth.
have to work 6 days a week.
