Good place to work, decent salary, optional over time, paid lunch, management is pretty understandable and chill. Job is pretty hectic, had to hit a “percentage” per day and pick up to 1500 cases per day. Isle were pretty busy after 4pm so lots of waiting to get orders done and orders can be behind
Free lunch, night shift premium, paid lunch, good pay
Working in freezer, hard to hit daily percentage
I worked there for 10 years and learned many new skills. It is a fast pace environment with lots of changes and challenges. Opportunities to advance and learn new programs, etc are a big part of the culture there. The management team is friendly, helpful and always available to assist. I looked forward to going to work everyday. The hardest part of my job was when I did not have the resources I needed in order to complete a task and sometimes technical support was difficult to obtain in a timely manner. Typical day would involve setting up meetings, taking minutes, preparing reports, presentations, managing company credit card, reconciling and coding credit card charges to departments, getting computer access for new associates, organizing company events throughout the year as well as booking travel for executive team. It was a great place to work and if another suitable opportunity opened up, I would definitely apply.
Gym accessible to all Associates
Occasionally getting support required to accomplish goals
The culture at Sysco needs some work. Unfortunately, focus is on the bottom line rather than the business culture. Morale and productivity challenges are evident because of this across the organization. Happy employees equal productive employees.
Discount on food
Low employee morale
Hardest part of the job was the excessive overtime each month end I learned many new systems I have never seen before Sysco. Most enjoyable was the great people I worked with. Many levels of Management.
Costs have been cut to the point of Absolute Dysfunction in literally all departments. Finance, Warehouse, Transportation and Maintenance all suffering with inadequate resources, direction and management to run any functional business. Work there if you have no other options or you like seeing chaos and having no sense of accomplishment at the end of any day.
We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!

Sysco itself is one of the best companies i had worked for. The people and the intensity of learning more is what makes the company great. Since working here, i had learned to develop public relations with major markets that uses Sysco as their business partner. you learn to utilize your time management
