Decent pay but very long hours

You can expect to max out your Hours of Service nearly every shift (and often exceed them during winter months), which means the work-life balance leans more toward work than life. Suppose you work a 14-hour shift, then come home to clean up and eat (maybe that consumes an hour), and get some rest with eight hours of sleep. The next day you wake up, freshen up, have something to eat, pack a lunch (another hour) and—well, that's 24 hours. That's your work week. Work, sleep, eat. There is very little, if any, time for your family. It's fine if you're single, but otherwise ... yeah.

Fun, Respectful, Hard working Company

Sutco is a family company, this means your not just a number. They have a diverse group of drivers, everyone is welcome here. They use E-logs and there is great communication with dispatch. Good training, you run with a trainer till you are comfortable to go out on your own, be that 1 day or 3 weeks. Payrate is good, depending on your driving style and what division you go into, my conversations with drivers has been to expect take home to be (after all deductions) between $4,000 - $6,000 a month.Sutco has a few divisions to choose from.-General Freight (Highway) where you can expect to get home every weekend.-Residuals (Chips/Hog, Shiftwork) where you can expect to get home every day-Logging where you also get home every day

Respect, Lots of work, Good equipment, Home every weekend (Highway), Home every day (Chips)

This can be a Pro of a Con, Long hours 60-70hrs a week

Productive and PROACTIVE!

This is certainly a great company to work for as far as fair pay and working all year round. I would recommend working here to someone who is ambitious and wants to earn as much as they can. There is of course enormous challenges with adverse conditions and maintenance scheduling in the trucking industry. I am always seeing improvements in this company as it takes pride in their management. There is outstanding support from dispatch on the road as well.

Gifts. Home every night. Reliable equipment.

Long hours adverse conditions but that is the way trucking generally is.

Typical 60 hr trucking work week Federally regulated, meaning no overtime after a typical 40 hr work week Very routine Descent pay and descent equipment

Horrible place to work

Very unorganized, lack of management, favouritism of certain people, horrible place to work, poor hours, trucks breaking down continuously, pay not what the advertising

Multiple Options

Working at Sutco was a ok. They have several divisions from logging to flat deck to residuals. They have long haul and local work options so if you want to be home every night you can haul the residuals such as wood chips or go long haul with there flat deck division. 24 hour dispatch is nice to have, and they offer good benefits.

Reaping trucks getting them ready for inspection

Good place to work management is caring no pressure type of work place mostly repairs and maintenance this is an expanding company which only works on there own units mass if the work is done on weekends when the units are not working

Very machine driven, Burn out factor exists

Typical trucking company. Trying to get as much out of their drivers and machines as possible. Shift work is not good. Did not have the most pleasant experience working there. The equipment is ran until it breaks. Cowboy company.

Good Company run by decent people, young and growing yet well established in the industry. Pay is decent, always on time and the benefits are good, especially the matched contribution pension plan.

A growing Company with good management

A typical day at work is driving 13 long hours I learn to drive a Super=B trailer Management is excellent Co-workers and easy to get along with The hardest part of the job is to chain up during the winter The most enjoyable part of the job is to train new drivers that join the company.
