SuperProf does things differently. In a really good way.Most tutoring websites literally take most of the teacher's income away for the first 10 or so lessons with any student. This is really bad considering most students are there for only 3-5 lessons.Their website needs some work, but I've loved my time working with them and will continue for the foreseeable future.

Difficult to start, but rewarding

It's difficult to have your ads answered, but once you start getting clients, it gets better. There isn't much room for growth, and it sometimes feels better off being an independent tutor

Guter Nebenverdienst, flexibel mit Studium

Alles in allem ist die Tätigkeit als Nachhilfelehrer*in bei Superprof ein guter Nebenverdienst v.A. weil man flexibel neben dem Studium arbeiten kann. Neu ist, dass man einer Anfrage innerhalb von einigen wenigen Tagen bzw. 24 Stunden antworten muss, damit diese nicht verfällt. Hieran wird man auch mit sämtlichen sehr stressigen Mails erinnert, was ich wenig sinnvoll finde, da teilweise Zeitpläne einfach abgestimmt werden müssen und das nun mal Zeit beansprucht. Trotz dessen würde ich es wieder tun und vor allem nach den Sommerferien entsteht auch ein ordentlicher Ansturm! :)

flexible Arbeitszeiten, Lohn selbst festsetzen. Pensum selbst festsetzen, Selbstständigkeit, gutes Layout

Cons

nervige Mails, oft wird Stundenlohn von Eltern gefeilscht, teilw. sehr schwierige Kommunikation (typisch wie bei ebayKleinanzeigen)

Requirements to join are minimal and the application process is simple, though there is a processing fee for platform payments and high competition for classes, with many more tutors than students.

One of the best tutoring services

More like a GumTree page than other tutoring services, they pay tutors 90% of what they earn, or 100% if they sign up for a yearly subscription which also helps promote them to more clients. Many other companies pay their tutors half of what they charge the client. The best part of SuperProf is that tutors can set their own wages, and charge for travel, give discounts for online tutoring etc, rather than a fixed, super expensive, $60 an hour. Without the guidance and support of a customer service team, and online resources, it is up to the tutor to arrange everything direct with the client, so they do need to be confident in interpersonal skills. That's the only drawback I can think of. Otherwise, I definitely recommend working for SuperProf!

Het is een virtueel bedrijf, het is afhankelijk van je, superprof is bemiddeling tussen de leerling en jij , er zijn alle soorten docenten professioneel en niet professioneel en dat is jammer , niet iederen kan lesgeven. Op de andere kant , het is flexible, je kan combineren met studie en andere baan .

Soy profesor de programacion de videojuegos y c++, soy libre de decidir a que hora dar mis clases, es muy sencillo que los alumnos te contacten y se interesen en tener una clase. La plataforma a sido muy colaborativa para generar multiples anuncios. Lo que no me gusta es que en ocasiones los alumnos no pagan o cancelan sin pagar la comision. Si buscas obtener un ingreso extra sin invadir tus tiempos personales/laborales, esta es tu mejor opcion.

Great for networking and learning new things!

I started a superprof account for tutoring French to children and it’s been going quite well!! I’ve gotten a couple students within the past half year and I’ve really enjoyed it! It’s easy to meet new people and you can have your own liberty of creating lessons to teach as well as fun activities specifically for children!
