Awful management and little pay
Lifeguard (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON11 July 2019
Management is not pro active and forces you to work when you are not scheduled. The pools are dirty and the people you work for are rude. The supervisors are never around to help you solve problems. The pay is extremely little and often your pay is wrong and not deposited into your bank account properly. When you mention this they take weeks to figure it out and you may not even get your money. This company does not look out for you at all.
Cons
very little pay

Gives really good hours with good and caring managers
Lifeguard (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON12 August 2018
Good decent amount of hours and can be adjusted and is flexible. Can always request for more shifts/hours if you call in. Holds social events midway through the summer months. Really chill job and great place to work and get in hours if you are a certified lifeguard and am not sure about what you want to do if you are starting an entry level job. Staff and management is also very chill and friendly.
Pros
Good flexible hours
Cons
Limited growth

CAN be a great summer expereince
Lifeguard (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON12 March 2018
I've heard of Superior pools through a friend and decided to apply for the job. The interview process was simple and casual and quickly done. Superior did offer free recertifications for lifeguards that needed to update their qualifications, which was nice. The staff were trying their best to keep organized and put everything in place; however, a lot of the times the process seemed rushed. However, my placement was pretty good and easy going. The only complaint I have about this company is that management should be more organized and pay schedules should be more on time.

Terrible
Lifeguard (Former Employee) –  High Park, ON31 January 2018
Did not have a great experience working here. Management was not overly helpful with anything and chemicals were often sparse. Did not feel like I was given enough support.

Lifeguard (Current Employee) –  24 Martin Ross, North York Toronto28 January 2018
Relax working environments , summers outdoors pools have more people and reach full capacity , winter indoor pools are less busy and only a few people use it at one time . Took care of all the pool procedures, chemical checks , chemical adjustments , cleanliness of pool , life guarded , security ID checks on patrons .
Pros
Summer bonus
Cons
More summer opportunities

It's a job
Lifeguard (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON9 June 2016
Certainly not the best pay nor the best clients, but the people you work with are sometimes pretty great. You get paid essentially minimum wage.
Pros
Relaxing job (depending on where you work)
Cons
Low pay

Lifeguard/Instructor (Former Employee) –  24 Martin Ross Ave30 November 2015
I was responsible for guarding the swimming pool and ensuring the safety of the patrons. I felt that if I treated everyone with equal respect patrons were more than happy to comply.

Not a bad company to work for other than one boss had very bizarre ideas.
Pool Technician (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON12 February 2014
Employees tended to take advantage of no one on site supervising. CEO had anger management issues although I never had an incident with him. He definitely knows the industry, but lacked dependable, knowledgeable managers.

Overall I enjoyed working for them but Toronto traffic drove me nuts.
Pros
Fresh air.
Cons
Traffic, Pedestrians, pot holes!
