Best senior living mansion I’ve worked at

Amazing time so far at sunrise everyone helps out including management which is great for if we have new staff or are short. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about this place ! And I absolutely love that you have to do sunrise university before you train on the floor so you know exactly what you’re coming into for the most part

Pay is decent. Benefits are decent. Annual Bonuses according to performance. Not a lot of professional growth though. Can be very busy and stressful most days.

Stressful workplace

I don’t recommend working at this place anymore. No professional growth because only whom they like are the ones being recognize. They only need you if your useful to the company, otherwise your are nothing but a mere worker, so sad.

A place with opportunities for growth

Less stressful work environment

Sunrise is very nice company. If you love working and serving people especially old age people, this is a very nice and fun place. My co-workers enjoys what they do even in the very busy days.

Good management

Management is kind and other employees are kind; work is very physically challenging and straining. You would have to do what is in the best intention of the elderly. Lots of lifting and cleaning.

No Leadership - Management. extremely Toxic

Doble face Manager t , and completely manipulative , don’t consider this place is the worst , they lie to cover their mistakes on management , they get people to act how law requires but play the system , I was on management do your self a favor and let them close this place for sure , the people that works there have a king crab mentality , specially in management , because they are sad and bored of their life there .. my worst experience ever .

Excellent Care Managers and Management staff who really care about residents.

Overall it’s a lot of work for low pay The management isn’t the best it’s hard to voice an opinion as the managers priorities are placed on other things they don’t listen to staff concerns. Unless you’re full time you aren’t getting much hours I’ve gotten maybe 4-5 shifts a month at one point as a part timeWorker which is not enough to sustain anybody. The company over hires people with the impression that shifts will be given but NONE ARE if I would've known before I wouldn’t have accepted the position.... once your hired shifts might open but will be taken away due to low resident count but if the company didn’t over hire employees there wouldn’t be a reason to cut anyone’s hours ... it’s just a circus of miscommunication and unreliable workers Lead care managers are amazing but I believe the amount of work they do between overseeing other care managers, transfers, feeding, doing care, working the dining they deserve more recognition.

Great place to grow

I loved working at sunrise. I loved talking to my residents, playing games with them and getting ti know them. If there was Sunrise near me I would re apply. Sunrise was a second home for me.

Horrible place to work.

Management doesn't care about the health and well being of its employees. (They will constantly try to force you to do double shifts as they refuse to give overtime) They refuse to give full time hours as they don't want to give you insurance. Management will spend more time trying to find a replacement for when you call in sick, even though they are all qualified and capable of helping.

For Profit but Good Resident Care

This is a for profit company but the standards for resident care is good. Pay is decent. Benefits good. Annual Bonuses according to performance. Work life balance can be an issue for nurses if they are constantly on call.
