Most of the time it was just regular duties, which consisted of mostly cleaning in a timely and productive manner. the atmosphere was filled with positivity and everyone worked well together.
Learning new positions made it more exciting and gave more incentive to do the best we can. The hardest part was getting used to the fast paced environment, but after that it was very enjoyable to work with others throughout the day.

From the way they interview to the way they speak to you. The management at the upper James location is absolutely horrifying. Wouldn’t ever recommend this job.

My experience with working with Suds wasn't particularly pleasant. All though the balance of work and life was reasonable, the efforts put into fulfilling the job was not met with a fair outcome. Personally I put a lot of energy into furthering myself in the job but wasn't fairly rewarded for my efforts.

Good learning experiences, lots of different job options working there that allowed me to gather further knowledge on social skills. Paid weekly, good pay wage, hours were tight.

A typical day at Suds Express involves being asked by management to start your shift early and stay around half an hour late. Your shift consists of cleaning car interiors and exteriors non-stop until the end of your shift (or until all cars in queue have been cleaned), after all cars are cleaned and the building is closed you will clean the building. twice a week you will have to stay around an hour after your scheduled shift ends to clean under the conveyor.

management seems very disorganized, and apathetic. you will not find management outside of the office unless severely understaffed.

The workplace culture could be considered toxic, employees are rude and disrespectful.

tips go in a tip jar and not to individual employees

Working at Suds could be considered a high intensity job, you must have thick skin to work there as customers will do their very best to break you and make you feel like you know nothing about what you are talking about.

The environment is a great way to unwind, we are constantly talking and joking around with each other, the employees become close friends.
Pros
the summer and winter company dinners, sometimes management buys the employees donuts.
Cons
rude customers, long hours on your feet with only your half hour lunch on hot days

If you are in the kiosk you will spend all your days by yourself, management was sometimes friendly, and the place is very cliquey. and shifts are never the same, even for full timers. (working weekends, and staying later).

Learned about customer service experience. Dealt with customers being a wash tunnel attendant, kiosk attendant and a interior clean attendant. Management was good and could be helpful at times. Hardest part was working in different weather types and you're schedule and hours depended on weather due to workplace being a car wash. Enjoy having multiple positions to work on because it gave a variety and seems to be an easy going place but can sometimes be too easy going. Loved working with music in the background. Wish there was more break to have in 8 hour shifts on the weekend besides the one half hour one. Same with full time shifts during the week. It is a great place to gain experience and have for a first job.

Anxiety-inducing environment around dramatic coworkers

Stressed and agitated work. Never seemed organized. Enjoyed lunch breaks. Loved working with music and can be the most productive then. People yell for no reason.
