Productive and Rewarding

Subway was a great job for while I was in school. I started there as a kid and worked there all the way until I had to leave for university. They provided me with great opportunities to build leadership skills and to make more money. It can be fast-paced, but I personally liked that because that meant that there was always something I could be doing and it made time fly by. The owners were also very kind and willing to work with you to find solutions for issues in your store. They also provided rewards for doing a good job to all staff.

Hard Work but Doable

While I learned many skills during my time with Subway, I would not recommend the experience to anyone. The food industry is one of the most unstable industries in the world and I believe that not even Subway can stay ahead of the curve. Most stores are understaffed because there is not enough income to balance the expense of wages. While working as a sandwich artist, I was abled to memorize the recipes for all products available to ensure each customer was served in a timely manner. When I was promoted to manager, I learned more about the post of sales functions and general operations which were added to my established tasks. The environment is fast-paced and endless, but if you work efficiently its doable. While it was hard work, it showed me what a great team can do when given the chance. The most enjoyable days were working special events. The workplace culture was great as I frequently found similar interests with all of my coworkers and staff. I was genuinely sad when leaving Subway, but it was no longer for me.

This was the WORST job I've EVER had .. the owner dawn is the WORST and the general managers are TERRIBLE. I was a manager at the Walmart location at 13 and vandyke and I would never recommend this job to anyone
