Good work school balance

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Great work but hard work. Worked part time as a student and was able to balance work and school. Not cognitively challenging so I was able to give my brain a break, however, physically you are moving a lot and fine motor skills. Cutting onions made my eyes tear and was worst part of job.

good first job (don't be a closer though)

I started here when I was 17 and was there for 4 years on and off (going to college and then coming back). They went through managers like crazy. Don't be a closer though. You are by yourself for the last few hours and you get rushes come in and it is extremely stressful. If that's changed, then great. I doubt it though.

fine and fine

Subway has consistently been my go-to spot for a reliable, quick meal. The diverse menu offers a wide range of options to suit different tastes and dietary preferences. Whether I'm in the mood for a classic favorite or feeling adventurous enough to try a new sandwich creation, Subway never disappoints. The ingredients are always fresh, and the made-to-order system ensures that each meal is tailored to my liking. Additionally, the efficient service and clean, inviting atmosphere make dining in a pleasant experience. Overall, Subway is a dependable choice for a satisfying and convenient meal option.

Not a good place to work

Management does not treat their employees with respect, they’ll give you no hours but harass you on your days off to come in. Working here is mentally draining, it’s a toxic work environment. They do nothing the way they’re supposed to and they also don’t deal with workplace violence properly at all.

great

I enjoyed working at Subway for several reasons. One of the main reasons was the friendly and supportive team. My coworkers were always there to help.

Never respond on time

When you don’t get paid properly, you can not enjoy a workplace. Management never respond on time. At some point you’ll feel you don’t get paid enough to do all tasks they expect to do everything by paying normal wage. Instead of to support each other they complain a lot.

Pros

Free meal and co-workers are helpful

Cons

Management is worst always

Fun with friends but management doesn’t care about you

My first job, I loved it at first made good friends and the tips are always a great bonus took home up to $20 a day however the management does not care when it came to issues. As my subway had an issue with the manager being inappropriate they did not care or believe us. But good for a first job.

Pros

Free lunch

Cons

Busy rush hours

Fun

Worked at subway in high school, they were very accommodating with scheduling. Fun free to work with, Friday evenings were the worst with the after bar crew.

An amazing place to work

I enjoyed every single bit of my job at Subway, Lakeridge Health, Oshawa. Great crew, amazing customers, and phenomenal experience. I would definitely recommend working at a chain restaurant for anyone seeking opportunities.

We make sandwiches

I mean, nothing surprising really happens at this job. It is what you expect. Anything customer forward will always have it's struggles and the pay certainly isn't a long-term thing, but it's fine. If you're looking for a minimum wage job that is MOSTLY low stress, this job is really all you need.

Clean and Welcoming Environment

CLEAN and non-greasy environment. All employees are nice and welcoming. I would say that working at Subway is far better than working at Mcdonalds or any other greasy fast food joints.

good

Being the CEO of Subway is an exhilarating experience. Leading such an iconic fast-food brand means constantly adapting to industry shifts. The role encompasses overseeing franchises, ensuring quality, driving marketing strategies, and tracking consumer trends. This diversity keeps every day engaging. What truly makes this role fulfilling is Subway's impact. We offer fresh, customizable, and healthier options that affect communities worldwide. Witnessing our influence on people's eating habits and lifestyles is immensely rewarding.Yet, the CEO position also brings challenges. Competition, evolving preferences, and the need for innovation demand commitment and adaptability. In summary, serving as Subway's CEO is a remarkable journey. It's not just about sandwiches; it's about shaping a brand that cares for customers and communities while navigating the intricacies of the fast-food industry. It's a challenging yet immensely fulfilling role, and I'm privileged to undertake it.

It’s aight

Working at Subway has been an average experience, warranting a three-star rating. The job offers decent pay and flexible scheduling, which is beneficial for part-time or student employees. However, there are some drawbacks that prevent it from being exceptional. On the positive side, Subway provides comprehensive training, ensuring employees are well-prepared for their roles. The team-oriented environment fosters collaboration and camaraderie among colleagues. Additionally, the job offers opportunities to develop customer service and multitasking skills, which can be valuable in future endeavors. However, there are areas that could be improved. Staffing issues and occasional high turnover rates can lead to increased workloads and stress during busy periods. Breaks are often limited, and managerial support can be lacking at times. Furthermore, the lack of comprehensive benefits and limited growth prospects dampen long-term job satisfaction. In conclusion, Subway offers an average employment experience with fair compensation and training, but challenges with staffing, management support, and growth opportunities prevent it from excelling. It may suit those seeking temporary or part-time work, but those desiring a more fulfilling career might need to explore other options.
