Terrible management and pay
Software Engineer (Former Employee) –  Milford, CT6 January 2019
Worked for quite some time at the company and it is clear as day that management has no interest in their employees or their wellbeing. There are lots of old timers that have themselves rooted in their archaic management styles and do everything they can to make impede progress if it disrupts their comfortable lifestyle at the office. Incredibly closed minded and very militaristic. The pay is suboptimal for your position unless you've worked their for a long time. Benefits are alright but nothing great.
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
The free lunch, management, executive leadership, pay

Automation Support Contractor (Former Employee) –  Miami Lakes, FL24 December 2018
Military style procedural management, non flexible by any mean, strict and dictatorial I would say with terrible communications.
Very limited vision, and procedural not flexible, do not follow regular professional communications on the engineering level.
Pros

Accountant (Former Employee) –  Milford, CT25 November 2018
The pay sucks. They give you free subway stuff to try to make up for it. They claim to be a mom and pop place to work, but they're clearly not. You're just a number.

Excellent place to work
Front End Support (Current Employee) –  Miami, FL10 October 2018
Calm, cool, and collected, the team at subway is fantastic. They get the job done while still maintaining a friendly atmosphere. Co workers are easy to get along with and no one is left feeling like they have little or nothing to contribute.
Pros
Great work enviornment
Cons
Short breaks

Not a good place to work
Legal (Current Employee) –  Milford, CT8 September 2018
Workplace culture is out of a Twilight Zone movie. Co-workers hardly speak to each other because that is frowned upon by management. The company is top heavy with upper management. Attempts at restructuring seem to be failing. The main headquarters building appears to be a "sick building" with recycled air and noticeable mold forming around the ventilation. Just an all around negative place to work.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
No room for advancement nor is it encouraged

Could be a good place but doesn’t pay well. High stress level. Favoritism. The Work loaf increases without giving the opportunity with a say in anything. Change in employees is very frequent.

The Blockbuster of the Restaurant Industry
Workaholic (Current Employee) –  Milford, CT17 July 2018
This placed is DOOMED. Upper management is chock full of control freaks, sociopaths and imbeciles competing for rank. The cult of personality and executive worship here is insane. Actually knowing how to do your job is MUCH less important than knowing the right people. And the people who have been here 20+ years wouldn’t last a day in the real world. Management is a mess, sales are declining, and the product sucks. This place is ready to crash and burn. They say they’re not selling the company, but Bain Capital practically lives here. It’s only a matter of time before they eat the company alive. Bring your talents elsewhere!
Pros
Free lunches, impossible to get fired for incompetence
Cons
“Subway lifers, ” horrible Technology teams

Extremely poor working environment
North American Product Quality Manager (Current Employee) –  Milford, CT5 June 2018
The culture is toxic/poisonous in which employees are so consumed in protecting their jobs than doing their jobs. They take advantage of their supply base to the extent of extortion. Biggest mistake of my career.

Not the best company
Publications (Former Employee) –  Milford, CT21 April 2018
While this a very large and international corporation, it lacks the gumption of one. There is endless nepotism, managers that are not qualified to be in such positions, lower-than-average pay for the same positions found elsewhere.
Pros
Free breakfast and lunch.
Cons
Everything else.

LEGAL ASSISTANT- MONETARY COMPLIANCE (Former Employee) –  Milford, CT21 March 2018
Stressful work environment, multiple managers for a small department who will give conflicting directions on policies and procedures. Obvious favoritism, low pay to certain employees based on who knows who. Highest turn over rate in entire company. Coworkers are nice but management is toxic to work with.
Pros
Heath benefits

lack of qualified supervisors & managers
Leasing (Former Employee) –  Milford, CT5 March 2018
Poorly trained managers and supervisors who are unable to properly resolve problems and conflicts.

Departmental morale was very low due to unqualified supervisors.

There is a "do as I say, not as I do" atmosphere.

Free breakfast and lunch was a very nice perk.

I met many nice people while working at Subway.
Pros
Free breakfast & lunch
Cons
Low pay, high cost of health insurance, no room to advance, poor management

working at Subway was alright. During lunch time it would get very busy but then throughout the day, slower business. Management was alright, no complaints. I learned customer experience and how to operate a cash register.

Started off in the Help Desk and a very low salary.

After 8 months I was promoted to Desktop Support.

The work environment is very casual, very friendly.
Free lunch and breakfast is a nice touch.

Decline in job security
Associate (Current Employee) –  Milford, CT14 January 2018
This has always been a great company to work for however over the past couple of years sales are declining and stores are closing. With the changes in the economy this had put a strain in the company and I do not feel that I have the same level of job security that I have had in the past.
