A great opportunity to run your own business, but it has its flaws
Franchisee/ Owner Operator (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB10 April 2017
The royalties are too high for the amount of effort put in by the franchisee. Despite the large pay cut, the money is still good and the friends you make are a great benefit. In the end, it looks great on a resume and opens many doors.
Pros
Great staff

Hard workers only
Owner/Operator (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON16 July 2019
This job is for people that are obsessed with working. You are able to make a ton of money but you have to be opened to being coached, investing time and money, to go marketing (Door to Door), to do estimates (sales) , and to manage!

Benefits: If you go all in you will make a hole lot of money! You'll get so many skills! This will make you stand out from every other graduate! This will help you run a bigger business!
Pros
Life skills, life changing experience
Cons
Expensive, long hours, challenges from managing bad employees

Terrible summer job
Labourer (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB15 July 2019
The concept of this company is for the franchisee to make significantly more than the students working as painters. They do manage the business so more stress but are inexperienced as well. There is a estimate for the number of hours to complete a paint job which typically isn't very accurate. Don't expect to make minimum wage per hour. If the client isn't happy, you have to redo some painting without getting paid.
As for training, it is a joke. You have a bunch of kids painting houses with no skills and no training. And safety with roofs and ladders, make sure that you don't get hurt. The flyer delivery that comes with the job isn't minimum wage either. So many students quit this job after realizing that the training, pay, and safety are all misrepresented.
