A great opportunity to run your own business, but it has its flaws

The royalties are too high for the amount of effort put in by the franchisee. Despite the large pay cut, the money is still good and the friends you make are a great benefit. In the end, it looks great on a resume and opens many doors.

Life skills, life changing experience
Expensive, long hours, challenges from managing bad employees
Labourer (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 15 July 2019
The concept of this company is for the franchisee to make significantly more than the students working as painters. They do manage the business so more stress but are inexperienced as well. There is a estimate for the number of hours to complete a paint job which typically isn't very accurate. Don't expect to make minimum wage per hour. If the client isn't happy, you have to redo some painting without getting paid. As for training, it is a joke. You have a bunch of kids painting houses with no skills and no training. And safety with roofs and ladders, make sure that you don't get hurt. The flyer delivery that comes with the job isn't minimum wage either. So many students quit this job after realizing that the training, pay, and safety are all misrepresented.
