Other (Former Employee) – Waterdown, ON – 30 October 2013
Don't be deceived by the best place to work awards in Canada. This company asks a lot from its employees, plus some. If you want a challenging career, with weekend work at no extra pay, then Stryker could be a fit for you however, if you want work / life balance, stay very very far away from this company, as there is no work / life balance at Stryker in Canada. If you like to work independently then this may be a place for you, because management does not have a lot of time to support.
Christmas Parties and Golf day
Long Hours, No Extra Pay, Management has no time for you
Growing Company with good salary/benefits but poor culture
employee (Former Employee) – Hamilton – 9 March 2018
Days are full of back to back meetings, which allows no time to actually execute on job requirements. No transparency of management, no useful feedback that can help you improve. Culture is aggressively competitive and highest marks are given to the most outspoken and self-promoting people.
Lots of future growth potential, moving into new facility, good pay and benefits
Long hours, lack of valuable feedback and transparency, competition instead of collaboration
