Don't even bother

The only thing good about Strive is the benefits package. The onboarding process takes forever and HR is disorganized. Strive seems like a good Idea and place to work but once you work for them the truth comes. Save yourself the time and effort in the long you will be better of.

We're pleased to hear that you appreciated our benefits package, but we regret to hear about your challenges with the onboarding process and perceptions about HR. Our onboarding phase is comprehensive and can take 2-4 weeks depending on the Record Checks that are mandated by our Funding Bodies and other criteria that ensures our workers are vetted to work with the vulnerable population that we support. We continually aim to streamline our procedures and value feedback that helps us improve. Our primary goal is to provide a supportive and efficient work environment for all our employees. We encourage each of our staff with concerns to reach out directly to HR or Management so that we can address specific issues and ensure everyone has a positive experience with Strive.

Horrible horrible horrible Management and HR They hire you, put you through training and then give you no hours and will let you go. Don’t bother with this company. Under paid for what you do too.

We have robust workflows and systems in place so that all employees, once trained, are assigned hours based on the availability they provided during the hiring process. We provide orientation and shadow shifts to determine fit and comfortability for both the employee and the individuals served. Additionally, our compensation structure is competitive within our industry, and we regularly review and adjust wages to ensure fairness. Lastly, our HR and Management teams work diligently to support all team members, and we always encourage open communication to address any concerns. We take all feedback seriously and continually strive to improve our processes and work environment.

Neglectful of staff and client safety

Management neglectful of other staff, being on time, food safety, building safety concerning both clients and workers. Definitely a place to stay away from despite what may be positive reviews from other people (which is quite amazing, considering the high staff turnover of over 17 staff members in a three month period). This is definitely not a good company to work for who is only concerned about the bottom line and nothing else and management openly admits this

Staff meals. Good location. Very rewarding clients to work with.

Relief frequently late, Management non responsive and neglectful of responsibilities And safety of staff and residents.

Strive Living Society is committed to ensuring that our employees have a safe and supportive work environment, and we will take the necessary steps to refine our approach in order to support our personnel, including targeted trainings and orientations for both front line support workers and Management Training. Our management team works diligently to ensure that all personnel receive the attention and support they need to excel in their roles. We have regular team meetings, open-door policies, and performance evaluations to maintain transparent communication and address any concerns. We apologize if you felt neglected, and we encourage our employees to bring any issues to our attention so that we can address them promptly. Strive takes food and building safety very seriously and adhere to strict guidelines to ensure the well-being of our personnel and Persons Served. We have dietary plans and require all front-line workers to undergo Foodsafe training during their onboarding, and consultations with various Health and Safety advocates to maintain the highest safety standards. We have forms to collect information on any hazards that may be evident in the workplace in place if any personnel have observed any instances where these standards were not met, in order to investigate further to resolve any issues.
